"Kyle & Max did a great job with our home. They were very professional and explained everything they did. They kept their work area clean and organized. They also made sure if we had any questions or concerns that they would be just a phone call away. My house feel stable and the floors are even now. I would highly recommend Alpha Foundations"

"If there were six stars to choose from, that would be the rating I would give for the service provided. They were efficient, on time, and had a very professional and friendly personality, doing an amazing job repairing my ceiling. I will be using them for future handyman projects!"

"Remodeling our kitchen was an interesting experience and we were very happy with the result. Since first day Jess was very helpful and transparent with the information we needed and was always available for any question we might had. He and his team did everything to make the experience as smooth and efficient as possible. It only took 2 weeks to complete the remodeling and they were very professional and always on time with the schedule."

"This is the second time i have called on Matt and the second positive review I have written.  I would not have done so if I was not completely satisfied.  Much of the work was done in a concentrated period of time (over about a month, I think); Matt was also able to be flexible and work around both of our busy schedules.  Jason (who works with Matt) did a lot of the work and is awesome also.  I left all the purchasing of supplies to Matt and have no complaints at all.  He makes good decisions.  That's what I needed - someone who could take the ball (i.e. make sense of all my crazy ideas and requests) and run with it.  He did.  I appreciated all of his suggestions.  Matt and Jason are totally honest and trustworthy.  I have no hesitation in recommending them.

"They previously renovated 2 of my bathrooms, he takes pride of his work, and he was very considerate and I was very pleased with his work. He had done quite a number of things in my house, he has done it good, that's why I keep calling him for more additional works, in fact he is doing another project for me today. His pricing was reasonable."

"We ordered about 28 Gorell windows from them for a remodel.  The second floor was completely rebuilt so we had both new construction and replacement windows.  The salesman was very nice, but maybe not so experienced.  He had our blueprint plans to work with, but missed the fact that we needed tempered glass or impact window over the tub to meet code.  He definitely should have known this.  Also, in some places we put 2 windows side by side which requires a mullion (the piece that goes between them to anchor them together).  We got the runaround when we tried to get the mullions from them.  Couldn't get a straight answer out of them, they kind of tried to act like it was something the installer should get and they didn't have them, then they changed their tune and got them for us.

All in all, we're happy with the windows, just not the company.  Unreturned calls, mistakes, etc.   I'd say if you buy windows from them, let your contractor deal with them and make sure the order is right and complete.

"Wood was delivered for a house I am selling. Buyer did labor of fixing deck.
I then had the remaining value of this purchase so I asked Granville to se if he could make the outdoor lights by my pool work.
Mr Granville told me the wood delivery would be $100 of my coupon and then did make the outdoor lights work for the rest. I thought the wood delivery fee was a bit too high but my past experience with quotes on getting the outdoor lights working was way too much so I appreciate what was completed for me.

Mr Granville is very nice and honest in his work. I highly recommend him. "

FAQs for basement remodeling projects in Aripeka, FL

Finishing a basement turns unused square footage into livable space and returns up to 70% of what you spend when you sell your home. Beyond that resale boost, you gain a playroom, home office, or guest suite you can start enjoying right away. That mix of daily comfort and solid return on investment (ROI) makes basement finishing one of the smartest upgrades you can tackle.

In some parts of the country—especially lots on swamps, high water tables, or other wetlands—local codes prohibit basements. Saturated soil puts constant pressure on foundation walls and lets water seep in faster than any sump pump can handle.

If your property sits on waterlogged ground, building on a slab or crawl space is often safer, more affordable, and code-compliant.

Most basements wrap up in four to eight weeks. Framing takes three to five days, with electrical and plumbing rough-ins following over the next week. Add five days for drywall, two to three for flooring, and another week for paint, trim, and punch-list items.

Delays can happen if materials run late or your contractor’s calendar is packed, so build in a little cushion when you plan.

Whether a finished basement counts toward your home’s official square footage depends on local rules. Many areas only include below-grade space if it has code-approved egress, fully finished walls, ceilings, and floors, plus consistent heating.

Check with your local assessor or building department before you start; meeting those standards can affect taxes, appraisals, and resale value.

Building codes require a checklist: dedicated heat and electrical service, a code-approved stairway, and at least one egress window or exterior door. Walls, ceilings, and floors must be fully finished and meet insulation, ventilation, and fire-separation standards. If you add a bedroom, you’ll also need a closet, proper clearances, and safe exits. If you change the layout later, be ready to update the space so every new room still meets today’s code.
