"Me and my wife bought our first home only 6 months ago from a contractor that renovated it and discovered the 3 split systems have been unable to keep up in this summer heat. I spoke with Robert by phone as I have had bad luck in the past and know enough about HVAC to know if a contractor is blowing smoke. Based on our conversation he was able to know regardless of the units putting out a 15 degree difference of air that something was wrong. (The other guy I called said it was fine) I opted to schedule Robert out far enough after discussing any general maintenance items I could complete before he arrive to save money. In the end Robert is an intelligent well educated and equipped repairman who is quick to solve problems even on my 20 year old units. He even told me what store to shop at locally for cleaning and duct work repair materials and talked me through issues that I can solve on my own. He then topped off Freon on one unit that was very low and explained how that one was newer and likely installed without topping off after. (They come precharged) He is extremely informative and knows exactly what he s doing and will happily walk you through any of his gauges and readings. I am confident he saved us hundreds and secured more future work from me and others I will recommend him to in the future. He made our home finally cool off for the first time in two months now even in the heat of the day we are very comfortable."

"Scheduling was easy b/c the service provider responded in great detail when I contacted via text (other providers either didn’t provide info regarding their company & fees until the next morning or were charging a lot more for the house call to assess the problem. Service provider was prompt, well trained, thorough, wore shoe covers and a mask inside my home, and explained in detail his findings. Installed the replacement part promptly and charged a fair & reasonable price. I recommend Team Enoch!"

"Excellent service, we had an emergency where our AC unit was failing. Alex responded immediately and on time, he was able to diagnose the issue, a faulty capacitor and get our AC back up in a few hrs. It’s so hard to find dependable people who know what they are doing so I’m glad to have them as my first choice "

FAQs for central a/c service or repair projects in Arlington, TX

A condenser fan motor is a crucial part of your air conditioner that prevents the compressor from overheating. It pulls heat from your AC unit to cool the refrigerant moving through the condenser coils. This allows your system to blow cool air and keeps everything running smoothly.

The most common causes of AC fan motor failure include loss of lubricant in the system due to overheating and a rusted or leaking run capacitor. Poor lubrication can also cause failure in the belt drive, which may impact the AC fan motor. Weather and electrical components can also affect your AC. For example, a storm could send water into your motor windings and damage the internal components.

Air conditioner fan motors last about 12 years on average, though they can last longer if maintained well. This includes keeping them clean and cooled as needed with annual air conditioner checkups. Routine maintenance is essential to catch AC fan issues early. An HVAC inspection can cost between $70 and $500, while AC cleaning services may range from $100 to $400.

A broken AC fan motor may need replacement because this part usually can’t be repaired. Several things indicate it’s time to replace your AC fan motor, including buzzing noises, a constantly running fan, unusually high energy bills, or an aging system. If you notice these signs, call an HVAC pro for help before the faulty motor starts to strain other parts of the AC system.

There are clear warning signs of a bad AC fan motor, including unusual interruptions in the fan operation. The motor might be malfunctioning if you hear weird noises like grinding or rattling or if the fan continues to spin when the unit is off. These indicators compromise your AC’s cooling performance and increase your energy costs. Addressing these issues immediately by contacting a trusted HVAC professional prevents further damage and safeguards your HVAC's efficiency.

Replacing your AC fan motor takes a professional one to four hours. The technician will start by assessing your system and safely removing the damaged motor. If a new part needs to be ordered, it might take a few days. Once the part is available, your pro will install it properly and make sure your system is running smoothly.
