"Jack was terrific. He listened to our issues, asked appropriate questions, offered pricing options depending on need, and came out to the house the same day to conduct tests. Explained everything clearly and was incredibly professional. Highly recommend."

"David was great! He came and explained everything that his team was going to do to remediate our wall of mold in the basement. Once the job was finished, our numbers were minuscule (that is good in the mold business). His team came in, cleaned out the mold, and CLEANED EVERYTHING afterward! I'd give them five stars just for that. I'd recommend Valor Mold to all of my family and friends."

"They came out to clean our duck on one day notice before the installation of our new HVAC system and perform a great job. They had all the proper duct cleaning equipment, they even cleaned our dryer vent for no extra charge. They were very professional, showed up on time, cleaned up work areas. Highly recommend."

"Been 7 years and everything is still tight! Repointed the block on the inside and painted it about 4 years ago. Paint is holding up. Squared the seal up on the outside and painted there too. Everything outside is holding up as well. The only company that didn't try to sell me a sump pump."

"I used this company to perform a home inspection before I bought my house. Due to its negligence and breach of contract, 9 months after I moved in, I had to replace the roof on the house. The company will do nothing to rectify the situation. They are cheats and liars that hide behind their contracts. Their inspectors take every shortcut, and they will not protect you during the home buying process. Just don’t use them."

"We needed a structural engineer to inspect the foundation of a home that we are purchasing and were recommended to contact Kemp. We are so glad that we did. Greg provided first class service. He was thorough and took the time to explain each step that he was taking, the purpose behind it, the potential results and what each could mean, and finally the actual results. He also took the time to educate us on some of the basic indicators of good and deficient or damaged home foundations. He was very personable and is great at making complex information simple enough for novices to understand. He also provided the inspection report almost immediately. We highly recommend Greg and his company’s services."

"Working with Archangel Remodeling was s great experience from beginning to end! Stephen listened to our ideas, guided us through the steps to develop a complete look, and was very responsive to our concerns. And the whole Archangel team really went above and beyond to complete all the work with the highest quality and care. They were friendly, responsive, had great ideas, and helped to keep our changes within a reasonable cost. They also kept the work area as confined as possible and cleaned up before leaving each day. We have now have a bathroom that goes beyond our expectations and we absolutely love it!! We will definitely work with Archangel Remodeling again!"

FAQs for mold & toxic material test projects in Arlington, VA

Some companies offer a no‑cost phone or video consultation that screens for red flags. If the discussion points to a real issue, the pro will recommend a paid on‑site inspection. The complimentary call clarifies whether you need full testing, but it isn’t a substitute for samples, lab work, or a written report. Always confirm what the free service covers before you schedule.

A standard inspection, which includes basic air and surface samples, takes an average of two hours. If the pro needs to probe hidden spaces, such as wall cavities or ductwork, plan on up to six hours. Extra time allows the inspector to reach tight areas, collect additional samples, and document findings. Lab analysis is a separate process and often adds several business days to the overall timeframe before you receive the full report.

Mold thrives where moisture lingers and air flow is poor. Common hotspots include bathroom walls, kitchen backsplashes, window sills, HVAC vents, fireplaces, crawl spaces, and enclosed attics. Check these areas regularly—especially after leaks or high‑humidity weather—to catch growth early and avoid costly repairs.

Unchecked mold can knock 20% to 37% off a home’s market value because buyers worry about hidden damage and health risks. Even after remediation, visible staining or a history of major moisture issues can still lower offers and prolong the time on the market. Addressing mold quickly protects both your property’s structural integrity and its resale appeal.
