"Goliath Wendell and Daniel Carter were very open and honest regarding the potential issues of trying to refloat the slab to level it out. They pointed out the problem could actually get worse and there probably was not any void areas under the concrete to fill with polymer. They also pointed out the existing cracks would likely widen and openup an elevation gap between two slabs. I really appreciate their advice"

"Carolina Solutions returned my call promptly and showed up on time for the estimate appt. It turned out they don’t install the support piers needed to fix the sagging floor in our master bedroom. They recommended someone to do the repair and we are in the process of having that done."

"I had a flood for the first time in the crawlspace and basement. I called Regional Foundation & Crawlspace Repair to come out. They wanted 27K for crawlspace encapsulation, that was too much and I could do most the work myself. I instead paid them $5,000.00 to bury a geodrain and install a triple safe sump pump system. This is the job they did, they installed the sump pumps at the 3rd to lowest point in the crawlspace and this geodrain goes back and forth from uphill to downhill. The lowest point still allows water to flood downstairs. They also cracked a chunk of my foundation at the point of sump pumps egress. Outside they just threw rocks on ground were the water comes out and can get back into the ground to reenter the crawlspace. They got 1 star because the people were nice, their job was not. Update as of 4/23/2024 they contacted me and said they wanted to make sure everything was good. A Girl and guy came out and noticed a couple things I didn't and said they would fix it that their company does not do work like that. They dug up all the previous geodrain and moved it to walls, tried to level out the drain and changed the location of the pumps and the drain outside. She had a really good work ethic and never took a break. The guy was on the other side of house and think he did good too. Everything they did looked professional and looks like they fixed everything. They had to come back today to finish the work today, but had three of them. It all looks good and they tested everything. They apologized about the old work and were not sure went wrong, but I don't have a negative view of the company now and am satisfied with the work they did. Just nocking one star for the under trained individuals that came the first time, the second crew was great!"

"Job was estimated in January but held up until April due to weather and business activity. Once commenced, the entire job was completed in 2 days; 1 day for old concrete removal and 1 day for pouring and grading. The removal work was done while nobody was home although I did catch the crew at the end of day; their foreperson explained all the leveling and grading that would be done as well as the overall design for handling water flow. The pouring day was very long, extending well into the night, working under lights.  A large crew of approximately 6 or 7 workers handled the pour very skillfully and used a variety of techniques to get the concrete back behind the house where the large trucks could not reach.  I had the day off and spend quite a bit of time observing the work (as did the neighbors). The care with which the crew showed on the job was at a high level as they very patiently poured, spread, and smoothed the concrete as it set.  The final job looks excellent including the new concrete curbing along the driveway. We have had several rains since the job and the water drains just as well as the original design. Cosmetically, the concrete appearance is very uniform with just a few areas of off-color finish along the curbs. A different crew came the morning after the pour and did a pretty good job of cleaning up the place, removing the wooden forms, and checking around for stray tools and materials <br /> Overall, I would highly recommend Bobby's Concrete based on this job. The owner (Dean) was generally responsive by phone or text messages when we inquired about scheduling or design questions. <br />"

"<p>This should not be listed in the "Category:  Carpentry - Unfinished".<br />  I don't know why Angie's list doesn't allow us to choose the category, but it doesn't .</p> <p>We discovered a lower level disaster Saturday at noon. They came at our convenience and cleaned it up, removed all effected areas and materials. They sprayed an anti-bacterial and set up fans and a dehumidifier to remove the moisture. They coordinated all contractors, communicated with us about all appointments. Checked on the work done and did it all in a timely manner. They are a very professional, thorough, high quality and respectful group of people who know what they are doing and do it extremely well.</p> <br />"

"When I bought my home in 2016, I didn't know a soul in the area. I interviewed more than a half dozen contractors before I met Sherrill. I knew after speaking with him that I wanted him to completely gut and re-do the master bath. Since then, Sherrill and his team have gutted and redone the kitchen, built a privacy fence, a deck and a new front entryway. I have full faith and trust in them. They know exactly what they're doing. It's wonderful to be able to speak so highly of a contractor!"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Asheboro, NC

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
