"Double N Construction, is a very professional team. Aaron came to our home spoke with us about what our needs were for an addition to our house. Once we signed the contract, Double N Construction hard working team began. They had built a ruffed in house with roof within 2 weeks. They are an amazing, hard working team. Would recommend this company for any building job! Thank you for our new addition to our home! Double n Construction!"

" John Lively is an outstanding builder. He built a beautiful, practical horse barn for us--and he did it quickly, efficiently, and within budget (for the estimated price). His initial estimate was provided promptly, the drawing was easy for me to understand, and he was available to answer my questions throughout the process. His carpenters know their jobs and they work without wasting time; they are fast, smart, and they produced a handsome barn in just a few days. The members of his team who understand animal housing ensured that what they built is right for the animals we have (in this case, horses).
Later, when two doors needed minor adjustments, Mr. Lively returned himself to make sure everything was right, and it is. It was never a problem that we live in West Virginia, three hours from his business location. His crew arrived early each day and he arranged for materials to be delivered to the site as well. In short, John Lively is a class act-- he is honest, straightforward, and as good as his word. He knows his business, he uses high quality materials and skilled craftsmen, and the results do not disappoint. I would choose Lively Builders again in a heartbeat."

"

Our experience with Tango & Gatti, Inc. (HRN, LLC) began when I observed one of their roofers installing the flashing around a neighbor?s chimney during a roofing installation. It was one of the rare occasions that I had seen it done in a manner that would have been customary when the trades required their workers to be craftsmen. The roofer used techniques that were more labor intensive but certainly created a much better weather seal and substantially reduced the chances that the area around the chimney would ever be a leak problem for the homeowner.
At that time my wife and I needed a roofer to replace the hail-damaged roofing on our garage and residence. As a result, I asked a neighbor about the company and in a matter of minutes I had representatives of the company, owner, Aaron Tango, and Supervisor, Michael Stutzman, at my door. Not only was I impressed with the friendly and courteous demeanor of the two gentlemen, but within minutes I had an estimate in my hands; an estimate that was thousands of dollars less than the estimate we had gotten for the same work from another reputable contractor.
Michael Stutzman became the primary representative with whom we would deal regarding our project. There was never any pressure or attempts to get us to purchase a more expensive product. There was no attempt to scare us into buying a higher priced roofing system in order to receive a factory guarantee. It was like dealing with a good friend who was giving you honest advice based on their knowledge and actual experience. It was very refreshing, and it is my judgment today, that this is exactly what he was doing. We are very thankful that he was there to help us in this regard and consider the entire experience to have been a blessing.
Michael brought to our attention hail damage to other parts of our home that the insurance adjuster had failed to recognize or denied. Once this was pointed out to the insurance company, they agreed with Michael?s evaluation and provided a supplemental check to cover those repairs as well. (It should be noted that the additional hail damage Michael pointed out was of no advantage to him or Tango & Gatti, Inc. (HRN, LLC) because it required work they typically did not do.)
Dealing with Michael, Aaron and all of the craftsmen who worked on our home on their behalf, was a very pleasant experience. Everyone was extremely polite and considerate and the workers demonstrated a work ethic that harkens back to another time. Very impressive!
Perhaps one of the most impressive aspects of this experience came when the roofers encountered a problem dealing with an issue pertaining to the existing roofing system that had not been anticipated. In response to this problem, Aaron Tango and Michael Stutzman came to our home and evaluated the issue and determined that the siding on our dormers would need to be completely replaced to resolve the problem. They had two craftsmen do the work, and the job they did was beautiful. This work was done at no additional cost to us, despite the fact that the work took all new materials and the better part of a day for the two men to complete. The house never looked better. The roof and dormers are beautiful.
We have since had additional work done by Tango & Gatti, Inc. (HRN, LLC) with the same results, and plan to call them for any work we need done in the future.
Great People! Great Company!

"

"Job went very well. The guys who did the on-site work with the equipment were very efficient, very capable, and very much willing to accommodate owner wishes. There was slight confusion about the terms of the contract. Nothing major but I would suggest that such a contract be as detailed as possible and the owner should be sure to obtain a copy that has the signature of the appropriate business representative so there is as little confusion as possible about the terms of the contract.
"

FAQs for garage building service projects in Ashland, OH

A well‑constructed, properly permitted detached garage adds between $12,000 and $36,000 to a home’s resale value. Buyers appreciate the secure parking, extra storage, and flexible workspace, so appraisers often bump the property’s value accordingly. The exact return depends on the garage’s size, finishes, and how well it matches the main house, but most homeowners see a strong ROI when the build meets local codes and passes inspection.

Yes—once it meets local building codes and you secure the proper permits, a detached garage can be converted into living space. Finishing the interior, adding climate control, and ensuring safe egress effectively increase your usable square footage, though it may not always count toward the official listing. Skipping permits can trigger fines and even force you to undo the work, so always clear plans with your city first.

Most homeowners policies cover a detached garage under the “other structures” provision, but coverage limits vary. Review your declarations page and ask your agent how much protection you have for separate structures. If the limit is lower than the garage’s replacement cost, you can raise it for a modest premium. Confirming the details now prevents headaches if you ever need to file a claim.
