"We replaced 9 Rockwell wood casement windows (20 sashes total) that were peeling and rotted. We chose the Alside casement window with the upgrade Therm D glass. Mark Fadely, the owner of the company, was very responsive to all my inquiries. Several of my neighbors had used Fadely for window replacement and that was a big plus. Most window replacements use aluminum trim on he exterior around the actual vinyl window. This replaces the previous wood molding and provides a smooth transition to the brick or siding of the house. Fadely's installers made the aluminum trim look exactly like the previous wood molding. The workmanship of installers Dan and Tim was very impressive. On the interior the installers put a poplar jamb extension between the window and my existing trim. No existing trim had to be removed or damaged in any way! After installation of the window, a painting crew arrived to repaint the interior trim and jamb extension. You really cannot tell if the window was original to the house or not! We received several price quotes for the window job. Fadely was cheaper than any of these quotes. They were even less than the quotes we had to repair the windows! Bottom Line; We have a quality, custom built home and chose Fadely to replace our damaged wood windows with a good quality mid-range Alside window. We would recommend Fadely to anyone for value and quality. I attached an exterior picture showing the impressive trim work around the window and a picture of the interior showing the 1 1/2 inch jamb extension painted to match the trim."

Wow, a new experience for us.  Initial contact was made via email, a doorbell ring one afternoon found Mr. Hostettler having done a walk around with notes for follow up quote in hand. Interesting that he had not been up on the roof to see the water leak issue but said his men would take care of it. Quotes arrived two days later via email, a few questions with replies lead to signing and deposit committment. 

Roof repair quote indicated schedule date of 10-30-14 and Exterior Paint scheduled for 11-13-14. 

What a surprise to have the doorbell ring mid morning October 17th . . . a group of several men had arrived to work on our roof repairs.  I never was quite sure who the in charge person and felt they had not been totally advised of contracted detail as a water 9ogged board under the down spout needed replacing. However, when asking about the board I was informed it was the job of the "paint team". So they installed new spouting to be removed by the paint crew? I don't know when this crew left as I looked out to find things cleaned up and them gone?

Next "surprise" was another doorbell ring on the morning of October 22nd, eight men all over the place and multiple ladders surrounding our home, they were here to power wash the siding and "to be" painted trim. David, the "in charge" person, also seemed unaware of complete job details. With only two power washers extra men were everywhere goofing around, including several in the back wooded area with obvious personal usage of same. Power wash done and advised they would return the next morning, a call just before noon on the 23rd from David saying he had been out and the trim and gutters were still too wet. (I had not seen nor heard him if he had been here!)

Nine o'clock the morning of the 24th another good size group of men arrived to begin painting. They kept saying David would be coming . . . in fact they had done what they could do and hung around "waiting" for several hours, finally about 3 o'clock David arrived with replacement board trim to finish job.  A walk around with David found a couple of areas that had been missed with second paint coat, this was quickly fixed and they were out of here by a little after 4 o'clock. Interesting they indicated there was no extra paint?  Touch up by us will mean purchasing another can of paint? 

Overall review, the work that was done was well done, however, there certainly seemed to be a lack of professionalism with the various crews that appeared and disappeared.  Our only contact with Mr. Hostetter was the day he came to check our repair needs.  It does make one wonder about overall supervision and quality of work being done by his crews and if perhaps a customer might have more of a say on a crew used or not used?  It is with mixed emotions that we would consider using this company again, office contact about leftover paint has lead to "there was none" and now no communication with questions on the same issue.   The only other issue would be an obvious language barrier with the one crew and often a sense that perhaps I may have been laughed at among them?
