"The project went extremely well. Gaby is a consummate craftsman and finish carpenter. As someone who built custom furniture in my early days, I am very familiar with woodworking and can immediately distinguish between good, quality work and Excellent craftsmanship. Gaby fits the latter! He does all the work himself and takes incredible pride in the quality of his work. He built out the shelving in our pantry and when completed, there was an issue with the height of each of the shelves. When I brought the issue to his attention, Gaby apologized profusely and was back at my house within 48 hours to remedy the situation. This is a situation where you get what you pay for! His pricing was a bit high but fair as custom-built cabinets go. The difference is justified in the quality of materials he uses and the attention to every little detail during installation. During COVID, we paid 50% up front so he could purchase the materials right away as the cost of aLL MATERIALS CONTINUED TO SOAR. Gaby is honest, friendly, highly skilled and fin to work with. The only criticism I have is every decision made and agreement made was on a handshake (Old-school). There was not a formal quote or any paperwork other than the drawings from our designer that I provided. He gave me a range on price and of course, when the work was done, it was the higher of the range. We had initially planned for 2 pantries built by Gaby but ended up only needing shelves in a modified pantry that had already existed which my builder had modified. There were no adjustments in his verbal quote or final price. I had wished at the time that it was in writing. Good communication. Always on time and said what he would do and did what he said! "We could not be happier with Brandon's work, punctuality, cleanliness, personality, communication, honesty, pricing, and overall character. We actually had contracted to do some extra work for a few thousand. "Roldolfo responded very quickly and was able to accommodate our immediate timeline. He was always on time, very friendly, accommodating, and easy to work with. His skim-coating around two newly installed windows was terrific, and he was kind enough to repair a few additional anchor holes we added after he had begun. That being said, my husband and I fixed several deficiencies with the painting we only noticed after he had left. In a few places, it looked like only one coat of paint was used on the walls and the trim, as a few spotty areas still showed some of the plain white primer underneath – as if the rollers were not sufficiently loaded with paint. It produced a slightly splotchy, uneven appearance close up. We touched up some drips on the radiators too. Once we added another coat of paint ourselves, in specific places, it looks beautiful. My husband and I wanted the job finished ASAP so we could put all the furniture back, so we did it ourselves...although based on his responsiveness Rodolfo would likely have offered to fix the problem areas if we had requested it. Personally I would not hire them again, but if you need a job done very quickly, he’s capable."

"I cannot speak highly enough of Tom and Brad Green of Colonial Restorations. We have lived in our antique house for 16 years now, and like most old homes, some of its previous repairs were good, some not so good. Tom Green worked on this house for its previous owners, and his work was, by far, the best in the house. So, we continued to use Colonial - Tom, then Tom and Brad - as we learned the ropes about caring for an old house - our first house, old or new. Over the years, they have replaced sills and posts and beams, and rebuilt parts of our loose stone foundation. Most recently, they replaced the last original posts in our basement, (one of which was a tree trunk still with bark on it), including pouring new custom footings, in advance of our finally cementing the dirt floor. The work here is never easy - nothing is level, nothing is square - but the Greens' end result has always been beautiful - strong and made to last. Their prices are fair and without hidden costs....maybe not the lowest bid you might get, but you know it's a real bid that they will stand behind. They triage projects for us, giving us an idea of what other items will likely need attention in the next few years. We're not done with this house yet....we've never won the lottery, and there's always another repair..... and plan to use them again soon. I feel confident knowing that the next owners of this house, whoever they might be, will see the quality of the work and know that we cared enough to have the right people help us with the ongoing repair and maintenance of a 275+ year old house. I am a real person, a real customer, with no ties to the company, and was more than happy to write this review."
