"Dylan is an exceptional craftsman. I have used him for countless jobs while restoring my 1913 duplex. He was able to manipulate a variety of salvaged materials that I requested to create the perfect complements to the original beautiful wood. Dylan was prompt, fair, and detail-oriented. I would recommend Dylan to anyone looking for exceptional work."

"John and his team exceeded my expectations. This is an attentive group that offers fair pricing and open communication. I was immediately made aware of changes due to supply chain disruption and other small mishaps that happen with renovation projects. John even made himself available to meet with an outside team (hot tub delivery crew) while I was out of the country. It's evident they take pride in their work and care about their clients. I will be looking to Athenaeum again if future needs arise."

"Seemed very nice on the phone but when I went to hire them I would of had to wait almost 6 to 8 weeks because they were totally booked out. So figured they must really have a great business just was sorry i couldn't wait."

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Aurora, CO

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
