"Hogeland Construction was the best company that we worked with during the entire build. We began the build right when Covid hit. There were delays upon delays that were out of our locus of control due to Covid restrictions. These delays included in permiting, inspections, availability of materials etc. Covid turn everything upside down. However, Bryan Hogeland was able to adapt to the obstacles and never compromised on the quality of his work. We were impressed by his ability to pivot at a moment's notice to the unpredicted challenges the arose. Bryan's greatest characteristic is his thorough communication. He would even call at night in the middle of a torrential rain storm to make sure that there were no leaks. We can say that I really believed that he was as invested in this project as we were. It was a true partnership."

"⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – Great Experience with Lightning Remodel We recently hired Lightning Remodel for a tile project, and they exceeded every expectation. What started as a straightforward tile job quickly revealed some incorrectly installed plumbing, and Buck went above and beyond to fix it so our project could stay on schedule. His professionalism, skill, and commitment to getting the job done right were evident every step of the way. Buck and his team tiled our bathroom, closet, and laundry room, & also installed hardwood flooring in our kitchen and butler’s pantry. The craftsmanship was exceptional across the board. They kept the job site clean, communicated clearly, arrived on time, and navigated every curveball our old house threw at him with patience and expertise. Working with Lightning Remodel was a pleasure. They will be our very first call for any future home projects. Highly recommend! ***Photos to come***"

"Tim (owner) was great to work with—professional, responsive, and very kind throughout the entire process. Jeff, the handyman who handled our plumbing, electrical, and general contractor work, was also fantastic. He was knowledgeable, easy to work with, and did excellent work. We’re very happy with the service and will definitely use them again in the future. Pricing was fair and much lower than other quotes. Highly recommend!"

FAQs for addition to existing structure building service projects in Aurora, IN

You can typically raise your roof by four to eight feet, depending on your home's structure and roof design. The exact amount depends on factors like roof slope and framing support. Raising the roof creates additional interior space, enhances natural light, and increases your home's value. Consult a professional to determine the feasible height increase for your home.

Yes, you need a building permit to raise your roof. Obtaining a building permit ensures your project complies with local building codes and safety regulations. A professional contractor can assist with the permit and inspection process and ensure all legal and safety requirements are met. Your contractor will be familiar with building codes in your area, which can differ between cities or states.

While it's possible to raise a flat roof, it requires extensive structural modifications. Flat roofs lack the attic space and support structures of pitched roofs, so raising them involves significant engineering to ensure safety and durability. This process can be complex and costly, so professional assessment is essential before undertaking a project of this magnitude.
