"Amazing company. We needed 13 windows re-screened and had the hardest time finding a company willing to do the job. Tim didn t hesitate and was willing to take the job. He was easy to communicate with and the work was top notch! We will contact this company again whenever we need anything at all done. He shared pictures of recent remodels of kitchens and baths that were gorgeous! They do it all!"

"The Florida room (3 season room) made by Patio Enclosures is wonderful. I know we will spend a lot of time in it. No buyers remorse here. The job was booked on 9/14/13 and completed on 11/8/13. It took a little longer as I had decided to hire my own electrician (off angie's list), someone to install the tile (lLarry from Lowe's because angie's list guy was booked) and the delivery of the Jacuzzi (not a good experience wish I had used Angie's list).  <br /> Lloyd was an excellent site manager and I felt very comfortable with the direction he gave the other team members and his ability to problem solve. He went above and beyond on more than once occasion. He was very  helpful in explaining what was being done and why. This was the first large project we had done on our home so we appreciated any perspective he had to offer. <br /> Our room has windows and screens from top to bottom along with a glass door. They make it all in there own factory in Cleveland and truck it down here so it is good to know it is made locally. They gave us a CAD drawing and the work was exactly as pictured (only better!!). Since Patio Enclosures has it's own factory, they were able to make any size glass including the right triangle shaped glass at the top of the gabled roof. I am so glad we purchased the gable style roof (complete with roof tiles).  <br /> <br /> <br />"

"Tom and his team do excellent work. I live in an older cinder block house with plaster walls, which led to many challenges throughout the course of the project. When these challenges arose, Tom and I would discuss and come up with the best possible solution. Tommy and Steven, Tom's sons, did the finishing work and their attention to detail and workmanship was outstanding. In the end, if you communicate with Tom and his team, they will strive to achieve your vision on time and within budget."

"Working with Frisby was a great experience! They had our roof finished in 1 day! All members of the team were kind, courteous, and ready to answer any questions. They were also very accommodating to a car in my driveway that was unable to be moved and were careful about preventing shingles getting on the car! I would highly recommend to anyone who needs their roof replaced or repaired!"

"The contract was signed July 25, 2012  job completed Sept 28,.2012.  We put 50% down 4,500.00 he said this was for materials.  We will never put that much money down for any job ever again. In addition to 100.00 for preparation of layout plans and the plat and the city permit was in addition of 137.44. <br />    There was delays obtaining the plat plans and the city permit  and inclement weather.  However, I believe it could have been finish sooner when the weather was nice,  reasons Chris had other jobs to do. <br />     The cement post and gutter seem to be sound no issues there so far. <br />     There were issues where the roof  was connected to the chimney it was not right up against the chimney on one side and center there was a gap,  Explanation was, how  the chimney  was built,  I was told the gaps  would be corrected,  I believe if it was measure correctly in the first place there would not be a problem. ( I might add our old patio frame with our canvas that was attached to house and chimney did not leak)  I believe they were in a hurry trying to get the job done before it rain that afternoon and miscalculated the roof connection to the chimney and house.  <br />     Next, on Sept 29, Saturday  there was a downpour rain and the roof leak right were the issue was address,  the reason the sealant did not keep the rain from entering  down the side of chimney onto the floor of patio.   I called the owner the on the following Monday Oct, 01, he told me as soon as the weather permit we will come out and fix it.  The weather was good Oct. 03 Weds.  Today Friday, Oct 04.  I called Chris this morning  he said he promise to come out next week, he was doing a roof job way out in the country and had to get it completed because of inclement weather. To complete this review I will await until Chris fixes the leaking issue from the patio roof before I give a final rating.  I believe Chris is  honest. He was prompt answering the phone calls. Finally he did fix the problem by adding sealant to the gap. <br /> <br />"

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Aurora, IN

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
