"Once the Handyman got here, it went well. However, the appointment was scheduled for Friday, May 30 at a window of 12-2pm and at 1:30pm he called and said that he had gotten tied up at the job he was currently at and would call me when he was done. I received a call around 3pm in which he said he was on his way and based on where he told me he was, was about 30 minutes away. He asked if it was ok with us if he grabbed some lunch and of course, we said it was totally ok, but evidently it wasn't drive-thru because he did not show up to our house until a little after 5pm. After showing him the project we had [installing a ceiling fan in our master closet - cheapest one at Lowe's], he got on the phone to check in with his company and get the quote but no one was answering so we were sitting in our kitchen until he got a call back. <br /> He finally got a call back by about 5:45pm and gave us our quote [which was REALLY reasonable!!! Install and drywall repair for $90]. We approved it but what we didn't realize was that we would be responsible for the supplies. So after we signed the quote, he gave my husband a few items that he would need. My husband ran to our local Ace Hardware, picked up what he thought was what was needed and rushed back. Was not the correct stuff and there were now additional items to pick up. My husband then ran out to Home Depot and collected everything that was on the list and called me before leaving Home Depot to ask the repair man if there was anything else. <br /> After all of the supplies were provided, a sheet to cover the floor was provided by us [drywall was going to be cut out of the ceiling], the Handyman got to work. Though he completed the job BEAUTIFULLY, it was after 8pm on Friday night that he finished. It took a little while, but my husband found the conversation entertaining and the fan works perfectly while the drywall repair was flawless! <br />"

"I had a unique project which entailed converting my side gate conventional hinge system that had a padlock to keep it secured into one that had an electronic access with keypad, exit button from the secured area, using an electronic door strike. I called several companies/contractors to provide a bid for the work, including one company who installed a similar system on my front gate. Nobody came through like Chris and his company. From the time when I first called and spoke to Chris's wife who mentioned to me that they do not usually take on smaller projects like mine, but she was extremely accommodating and willing to work with me. He visited me at the house, viewed the gate and the electronic components I had already purchased, and came up with a plan to have the job completed. There was no hesitation for any portion at all. He was confident he could do the job. He came before Christmas and said he was busy and would let me know in January when he had time. <br /> Sure enough he did call back in January when he was ready to do the work. He remained in contact with me and gave me details on project start dates regularly. He had another person from his company do the work. I was unable to be at home while the work was being done and would have wanted certain adjustments made before it was too late, but overall, I am still very satisfied with how the project turned out. He was not able to tell me how long the project would take since this was not a job that people do everyday. The price did come back a little higher than I expected but he did work with me and again, no hesitation to really make the customer happy. This has to be one of the best companies I have worked with, from start to finish. I have always read so many stellar reviews about other companies and always wished I could work with a company and have an equally good experience, and I can confidently say I finally did. <br />"
