"Asim came out to install gas piping for a new grill and did an incredible job. Was fast, courteous, and made sure to ask me what preferences I had when doing the installation. Would absolutely recommend GK Plumbing!"

"Gary and all the wonderful men at preferred automotive were amazing. They were not just professional but kind. I love how they take pictures of what needs to be done and are also more then willing to explain what needs to be done even if it is multiple times for someone who does not know anything about cars like me. I highly recommend taking your car to Gary and his amazing staff. Thank you for everything"

"We had previously used Phil to install an upstairs central AC system when we first bought our circa-1928 house.  After about a year, we realized we needed a new boiler installed, and got the best quote out of about 3, from his company.  Further, his quote was the most detailed and convincing that would be kept within budget.  He outlined the particular unit that would be required and the various components of the install, as well as the fairly specific date range he could come out.  This was in summer of 2014, and the install was set for mid-autumn.   <br /> Due to his scheduling, the install was delayed a short period, maybe a week.  The installation also took over a week, due to various other conflicts in his schedule during this time, so the install didn't happen all at once. That was not an issue since heat wasnt needed during that time.  If there is one thing I would mention, is that due to his location (Woodstock) and relatively few members of his company, it is not always possible to get instant service the way you would with a large brand-name HVAC company.  However, Phil makes up for it with his genuine interest and knowledge of each particular project, as well as reasonable cost.  <br /> In this case, Phil and his coworker Tommy spent a number of days completely rebuilding my boiler, since previously there were 3 zones serviced by 2 different boilers.  So they had to disassemble each old boiler, then install the new one along with the necessary pipes and pumps. This process appeared to be relatively complex and they performed the work with skill.  The new system is impressive and has greatly improved heating quality and efficiency in our house. Recently he came out to do a free maintenance check up on the system to ensure it was properly working. <br /> I feel confident that I will continue to use Philco for future HVAC needs, and strongly recommend him. <br />"

"Referred to My Plumber by an owner in another building. Dripping faucet and non-working guest shower. Part to fix the dripping was almost $250 and decided to just replace the old faucet. New faucet installed the same day and looks nice. Issa ordered the part needed to get the guest shower working. It was three days later when he returned (due to my needing to go into work), he had ordered the same part that the previous plumber, Gidders and Sons, had ordered the previous December. I always had hot and cold water. When Issa was done, there was no hot water. Not sure what Issa did, but he made the problem worse. I paid them in full, $1,054, the day the faucet was replaced, major, major mistake. Only a dishonest company insists on payment in full before the work is completed. Never, never pay for work not completed. Issa put the shower back together thinking it would be fun to only take cold showers. He used the previously purchased part to put the shower back together and took the newly purchased part ($358) with him when he left. The receipt that I received that night was $30 higher with no credit for the part that Issa removed after I had paid for it and did not need it. 3,000 miles away this week and maintenance at my condo called to let me know that there is a leak in my unit. Serious enough to get their attention and horrified as I will not be home until Friday night and they cannot find the key to my unit. Whatever damage is caused, it means praying that My Plumber will do the right thing and cover all the costs. Cannot believe that this company would scam and financially hurt a single female. They now have 100% of my money and left me with a mess that is most likely not only damaging my unit, but damaging the units beneath me."

"Glover Enterprises was a pleasure to do business with.  All of the employees were professional, responsive and skilled.  A thorough assessment and measurement was done to determine what new fireplace should be installed.  The workers obviously knew just how to go about the job and worked until the job was done.  A follow-up visit was made to re-install some vinyl siding.  The new fireplace works beautifully.   I would not hesitate to utilized the services of this company in the future. <br />"

"Everything went very smoothly.  Gary showed up for his appointments to view our requirements on time and was knowledgeable and personable.  Once under contract, both he and his co-worker, Rick, worked very hard and competently.  They let us know if they needed any supplies but always were able to continue on with the work.  The end result is seriously wonderful.  We are so happy - and both Gary and Rick have been in touch to follow-up and make sure that we are entirely happy and satisfied.  We will definitely use GPR Handyman Service again. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Banco, VA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
