"Rosa was my contact and I must say she was personable and professional. Josh and his crew did the work and was willing to work as long as it took to ensure my problem was resolved so that my gas could be restored as soon as possible. I was very satisfied and will use them again in the future."

"My toilet had overflow issues which unfortunately wouldnt replicate while Roy was at my house. Even though I didnt get any work done, the professionalism was on point. I felt like an idiot because my toilet flushed perfectly each time for him. But Roy made sure to still inspect all toilet components and pipes, went in the basement and outside to look for any causes. He also raised awareness to what other damage leaks can cause and other helpful information to keep in mind. He was very friendly and explained everything very well. Definitely will request again if I have another issue."

"The owner is AWESOME. He wants it to be done right. No matter what it takes, he is patient, thorough and goes the extra mile to make sure the work is perfectly executed. It's refreshing to see someone take so much pride in their work. My plumbing issue was complicated, and others before Aqua could not get it fixed. I called them because of their reviews and the phone call i made to Aqua BEFORE the project to discuss the issues. I could tell he knew his stuff. AQUA got it fixed. He even sent his assistant to the store 3 times to get supplies (at no extra charge) to make absolutely sure the problem was fixed. THANK YOU AQUA. You guys rock."

FAQs for gas piping projects in Philadelphia, PA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
