"I've used Tates Construction for a number of projects, large and small, most recently a major siding project, putting siding over the original cedar planks. The price was reasonable and the job was well done. Jon Tate and his team are personable, easy to deal with, and pay attention to the details. They also painted the new siding and did a fine job with that. In the past, I've used them for interior railing/woodwork, exterior door replacement, fence work, exterior paving, roof/gutter work and window installation. "Two painters arrived and it was clear that one was inexperienced. The "Big Deal" called for a full day painter or two painters for four hours. The one painter with experience had to stop what he was doing on several occasions and help the other one out. Needless to say the job progressed slowly and I called RSU and told them about this. The experienced painter came back the next day and finished the job, but it cost me another 199.00.
