"The service person arrived on time for the next day appointment. He was friendly and professional. The service was done quickly. It wasn't until my husband arrived home that evening that he discovered that the expansion tank which was included in the price was missing. He contacted the company and arranged to have it installed the following Monday. Overall the completed project was done well. The price was within the going rate. We recommend this company for their honest work ethic."

"I had a clogged drain line near the street that a rooter guy couldn't break through. I thought I was looking at having to replace the entire line. At the risk of throwing good money after bad, I called Grumpy's. I got great advice over the phone including a number to call if I decided to have the line dug up. The rate I was quoted was reasonable. Grumpy came out and cleared the line in less than half an hour. In addition, he put a scope down the line, found the exact location where roots were getting through, and marked the spot with paint at no extra charge. He wrote down the coupling and pipe I would need to make the repair. When I dug, the break was right where he indicated. Grumpy was a real pro. He saved me a bunch of time and money."

"Jacob from J&M Services came out and installed ducting from our bathroom fan out through an existing roof vent in the attic.  This job took only about an hour.  Jacob was very good and I would totally recommend him to anyone out there looking to have this kind of work done.  He showed up right on time, was very friendly and easy to communicate with, and even finished the job quicker than expected.  From start to finish the people at J&M were pleasant to work with."

"Over the years, we have used a number of contractors to remodel our home. By far, C. McNearney, LLC tops the list. The firm provided excellent quality work in the remodel of our master bedroom bathroom, completed the work on schedule, on time and within the agreed upon budget, and suggested very helpful design and product assistance. The project was a complete remodel of the bathroom that included removing everything. The shower was expanded in size with a built-in bench. The shower and the floor were tiled. The tile work done by C. McNearney is simply lovely. The grouting looks perfect. The shower was completed with a glass door. New fixtures were installed and relocated in the shower and replaced in the cabinet. Charles and his staff were a delight to have working in our home. Having a high quality remodel completed on time was worth what we paid. The bathroom looks great. We are pleased to highly recommend C. McNearney LLC."

FAQs for walk in tub installation and replacement projects in Banks, OR

Because Medicare classifies walk-in tubs as non-durable medical equipment, it generally won’t pick up the tab. Medicaid can help if a doctor certifies that the tub is medically necessary, but rules change by state. Call your plan early, ask which forms you need, and keep any prescriptions or letters on file to improve your odds of reimbursement.

A walk-in bathtub’s fill and drain times hinge on your home’s water pressure and the tub’s hardware. Most models with a fast-fill faucet need about six to eight minutes to fill and two to three minutes to drain; larger basins or standard drains can tack on an extra 10 minutes. Stay seated until the water is completely gone so you don’t swing the door open on a full tub’s worth of water.

A walk-in bathtub holds 50 gallons of water, and its design supports capacities that range from 40 to 80 gallons, depending on the product. In contrast, a standard bathtub holds 25 to 45 gallons. This capacity is determined by the fixed design of the tub and its construction materials. Homeowners should review the detailed product specifications to confirm the exact volume available for use during bath time.

Walk-in tubs are tax-deductible when the purchase qualifies as a necessary medical expense and meets the IRS criteria. Caregivers who install a walk-in tub also qualify for the Dependent Care Tax Credit under specific conditions. Homeowners must verify these requirements with the IRS and consult a tax professional, as state and program guidelines enforce strict documentation standards for such deductions.
