"Some of our driveway slabs had risen and fallen quite a bit over the years. They were so out of alignment that it was a serious tripping hazard. They did a great job with the leveling. You'd never know there had been an issue. The work did leave some yellow surface stains where some of the injection material got onto the the concrete surface. I called them back and they happily came out and removed them. Overall I'm very happy with the quality of the work, the customer service, and the price."

"I had originally hired RC Concrete Leveling (Stow, OH) to level the front porch of my home in August of 2014. They completed the work, but after approximately two years, the porch had settled again and the mortar above and around the porch had cracked. RC came out again to level the porch and I repeated the process of hiring a contractor to replace the mortar and another contractor to recover the porch with the Sundeck material. I contacted RC Concrete once more several weeks ago and asked that they come out (third time) to level the porch as it had settled yet again. They showed up to perform the work in the afternoon of August 30, 2018. I stayed with the RC staff while they worked, where I observed the splashing of their leveling material from their wagon onto my driveway and porch. When they were pumping in their fifth wagon load of leveling material, I became concerned about how much they intended to pump into the porch, since it appeared to be much more than the last two times they had performed this same work. I asked how he knew when the porch was at the correct height, where he replied with, “I just guess.” Obviously concerned by such an unprofessional response, I handed him a level for him to use, but he never used it. I looked at the porch when the work was completed and observed that the 6-inch front porch slab had cracked in several places, which in my opinion validated my concerns that RC had overfilled the porch. I commented that I was not happy that he cracked the porch and was told, “That stuff happens”. At approximately 10:30 that same evening, approximately 1,000 pounds of the leveling material broke through the lower level ceiling of my movie theatre room onto the floor, woodwork, walls, light fixtures, door, and furniture. The next morning when I contact the owner of RC Concrete Leveling, Steve Cheatwood, he told me to contact Servpro or a company like them to clean up the room as soon as possible and then to contact him when this company had arrived. I followed Mr. Cheatwood’s instructions, but when I called him he said this was not the fault of his company. He further refused to give his liability insurance carrier’s information and began making excuses as to why this happened, none of which were his responsibility. It is the responsibility of this company to properly perform their work and in the event of a mistake, such as in this case, they need to take responsibility for their errors and not simply blame others for their incompetence."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Barberton, OH

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
