"It went smoothly exactly as Paul described the job. His crew installed a sump pump and ensured in drained to the curb. The crew replaced the drain run to the curb and dug around the existing bushes. The crew also connected the the roof downspout to the run to the curb.The crew installed a perforated pipe in a trench which created a floating basement floor on 3 sides of the basement. (the 4th wall was not necessary since was an interior wall.) They concreted over the pipe with a gap to the wall. they repaired and painted the basement walls."

"I have some level of disappointment because Acculevel was unable to lift the patio back to its original position. That being said, I think the challenges they encountered would have been encountered by anyone else, and some of the other one-man mudjacking operations who wanted to use buckets or wheelbarrows to carry slurry back to my patio probably would have given up earlier. I chose Acculevel because they use foam instead of slurry (which should last much longer), they had a 300 foot hose solving problems with access to the backyard (I live on a steep slope with retaining walls), and I had more confidence selecting them compared to independent one-man operations who do mudjacking. Their price wasn't the highest bid I received but it wasn't the lowest. I thought it was fair given the foam is a higher quality product. The crew actually arrived an hour early, which actually wasn't ideal but not a big deal (a call would have been nice). They worked hard and I suspect they were there much longer than they had originally envisioned. They did a nice job sealing all cracks when they were done with a high-quality crack filler which most of the mudjacking guys told me they don't do. The good crack filler can be messy and difficult to work with so this was a nice little bonus. Although they couldn't get the patio back to where it was, they worked hard to do the best they could without risking damage to the retaining wall. At least with the foam they use, I have confidence it won't sink anymore."

"If you have foundation issues don’t waste your time calling anyone else! When the first gentleman came to look at the wall on a Saturday he was very professional. Two of my walls were in extremely poor condition and after talking to him he assured me that they can fix the walls after I had two other contractors in and they both told me I needed them rebuilt. I knew this was the contractor to get and I went into the office to sign the paperwork two days later. The crew came out a few weeks later and I cannot believe how professional and awesome the whole crew was! They showed up around 7 every morning and I cannot believe the work ethic they had, it completely went over my expectations! They talked to me every morning letting me know what was going to happen that day which I appreciated and if I ever had a question they would take time to answer it. I had wall anchors installed on four walls and waterproofing. I really feel that they went way above and beyond to get the job done CORRECTLY! I can’t speak highly enough for Matthews Wall Anchor! If I ever needed any type of this work done again I wouldn’t call anybody else. Please listen to my review and seriously consider them if you need any of their services. "March 2020 I hired Mike Montgomery of BPG to inspect cracks in my basement wall and make recommendations of how to fix it. The inspection and report went fine. Mike found another wall that needed to be attached to the ceiling joist. He offered to do a design for $420. I accepted with the thought that the design would be representative in value to what I was paying. Mike provided a stock drawing where he changed three dimensions based on calculations that he made. This work probably took him about 15 minutes to complete. I felt the design was worth no more than $100. Mike and BPG disagreed with me and thought that the design was worth the $420. Mike did take the time to discuss this with me. The BPG claims manager did not take the time to call me, but sent me an email instead. Since I agreed to pay this amount up front, I went ahead and paid the bill. Be wary before asking them to provide you with a design, although the inspection and report were very good. June 2020 Even though I wrote a negative review, Mike answered addition questions that I had on multiple occasions as I fully exposed the walls and learned the extent of the damage. The fee to perform the inspection and write the report was well worth the money. Mike knows what he is doing and is very professional. He even recommended the contractor who I found to be the lowest cost and most knowledgeable."

"There were no problems. We've had rain several times since the repair and have not had a leak. We got estimates from three "A"-rated companies. Each company explained the same procedure. We went with The Basement Guys because their price was less than half what the first company quoted and several hundred less than the second company. The second company offered a teeny discount if we signed a commitment to use them. We're glad we didn't accept the offer. The worker arrived on time, was very polite and got the job done in a very reasonable time frame. We would hire them again"

"Everything went as planned; workers were invariably polite, professional and just flatly first rate. They showed up when they said they would, informed me if they weren't coming due to inclement weather, and the job (a considerable amount of work) was done in the amount of time they estimated almost to the day. Concrete replacement work was carefully done. <br /> <br /> I would add: there was no hard sell, no slick reports: just a professional who came to the house, did the estimate, and stated when the work would begin. They were slightly more expensive than some local firms, but I appreciated that they didn't waste my time suggesting cheaper "band-aid" approaches to what was a very serious problem. They looked at the situation, said what needed to be done, explained everything clearly and succinctly. And, they guarantee their work for the life of the structure."

"<p>Just wanted to drop a line or two and let you all know how impressed we were with both your workmen and their work.  In today's society, you just don't find companies that really do a great job, they usually just do enough to "get by".<br /> <br /><br /> <br />At times, without their knowledge, I was home and could hear some of the men talking.  Much to my surprise, their language and subject matter were always appropriate.  Don't find that much in the labor force today!  It spoke volumes to me.  When they did speak with us, they were always very kind and informative.<br /> <br /></p> <p>The work that was performed consisted of excavating the dirt to gain access to the footings on both sides of the foundation.  On the inside, they had to bust out the concrete floor and hand dig to the footing in order to install their brackets for the "unified lift system".  After installing the brackets, they attached special hydraulic equipment to the brackets which drove 3" diameter<br /> <br />pipes down to bedrock.  Next, they attached a hydraulic jacking system to each pier location.  Using their special vehicle with a unique hydraulic pumping system they attached hydraulic lines to each location and were able to do a controlled lift.  From what we understand, your company is one of the only ones that can perform this "unified lift".<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />We were taking pictures daily and emailing them out to family and friends who could not believe their eyes!  They started out making our basement look like a bomb went off and when they were done it was swept and looking very nice!<br /> <br /><br /> <br />All this to say that the work done was absolutely astonishing!  We will highly recommend EHM to everyone that we hear may need this type of work completed.<br /> <br /><br /> <br />Thanks so much again.  We were dreading having this work completed, but you all made it so much nicer by your<br /> <br />expertise, kindness, and professionalism.</p> <p>Mike and Cheryl <br /> <br /></p> <br />"
