I wouldn't recommend another company to do pavers, concrete, or landscaping work. The attention to detail was absolutely amazing! They transformed the front and the back of my home with beautiful pavers, hand cutting each piece and laying each one of them so symmetrically. I've had at least half a dozen neighbors stop in to see their work and ask for a business card! And the clean up...my goodness. Each day they wrapped up everything, put tools away, and keep everything so tidy and clean. I really appreciated that. No mud and dirt everywhere...it was incredible! During my consult, I shared my vision with Jose and his team created the design for the back patio, the walkway, and a new front porch. I trusted his expertise and wow - it is so beautiful. They understand your investment and they deliver quality materials, quality work, and a strong commitment to make customers happy. "After finding Tillerman Gardens online and requesting an estimate for substantial hardscape/landscape work on our newly renovated house, we were pleasantly surprised to find out that Jesse, the owner, actually grew up in our neighborhood! On top of being a Takoma Park local, and an all around friendly, honest, business owner, we also came to learn that he does great work as well! His team completely transformed our hardscape areas, including installing a beautiful flagstone walkway and patio, a perfectly graded cement driveway, iron railings on our steps, and plants in a number of locations. On top of that, some of the work required some touch up and sealing and Jesse and his team have come out a couple of times later this spring to do that work unprompted. There's a little bit left, but I know they'll be around to finish it as they've taken care of us every step of the way. Even better, everything was done in budget. Look no further! These are your go to guys for all landscape/hardscape work in the area!"

"Steve Norfolk and his crew dug down to the footing and applied the waterproof material a section at a time.  The original plan was to dig the entire area first and then apply the waterproof material all at the same time.  However daily torrential rains turned the area into a sea of mud, so he decided to do it a section at a time to minimize problems associated with the rain.  He had to break up a concrete slab (porch) for 1/2 the front, and approximately 25 feet of driveway next to the house.  Progress was slow due to the rain and mud, but Steve steadfastly pursued the completion of the job despite the setbacks.  Although justifiably discouraged by the rain and lack of progress, he exhibited a positive "can do" attitude and kept at it.  The finished product was professionally done.  Backfill and all concrete were properly completed, and grass seed applied.  Steve is a conscientious professional who knows his business and can be relied upon to do the work he says he will accomplish.  I would use him again in a heartbeat.

"All of this took 2-3 days. They showed up early every morning (around 8 AM) and went about their work in a professional manner. The owner stayed late to finish up work on the day they poured the new steps, making sure that all the edges had a nice finish on them and were done "just so" and to his liking. He also showed up on the last day to put a second coat on the resurfacing of the front stoop which now looks brand new as if it had been replaced along with the front steps. I might also add that Mr. Langhorne's estimate was $1,200 lower than that I received from a larger company who, by the way, tried to "upsell" me by asking about replacing the stoop as well, which only really needed to be resurfaced."

They responded quickly and meet our need to get the work done quickly. The quality of the work is very good. We are pleased with the work they did--it certainly met our needs. "Amazing! They sent someone out the day after I called to give me an estimate. Unlike other companies, they listened and proposed a solution that was right for me. They told me I didn’t have to spend a bazillion dollars tearing up my old concrete driveway because it was in decent shape in all but one area (where it met the carport). I’d mentioned that I don’t plan on living here past 10 years, plus houses in this area are typically bought by developers and torn down when sold. Asphalt over concrete doesn’t typically last as long but it was more than enough for me. Removing the concrete would have more than doubled the cost. Best of all, they had a work crew in the area that showed up THE SAME DAY and the job in a few hours as dusk fell. They even filled a trench with stone dust for a walkway I’m building and compacted it for free, saving me the hassle and cost of renting a machine. Way beyond expectations."
