"Working with Brent and Keith on our A-frame build was a great experience overall. From start to finish, they were professional, knowledgeable, and clearly take a lot of pride in their work. The craftsmanship really shows—our home is not only beautiful, but also feels incredibly solid and built to last. The quality of materials and attention to detail exceeded our expectations. The only downside was that the project took a couple of months longer than originally predicted. That said, it was absolutely worth the wait. The end result speaks for itself, and we’d much rather have things done right than rushed. We’re extremely happy with our A-frame and grateful to Brent and Keith for bringing it to life."

He took a challenging building project (a loft in a cabin with multiple roof angles) and turned it into a space that was even better than what we had imagined. John was very responsive throughout the project, answering all our questions in an easy-to-understand manner. Also, he came when he said he was going to come. He took care to ensure that both the structural and the aesthetic aspects of the remodel were sound and went "above and beyond" by building us a beautiful and unique railing using wood from our property. "Geek Construction we’re terrific. In the aftermath of Helene, we feared it would be quite a while before our roof got repaired, but met with Carol and Mitch, who assured us they had several great teams out fixing all kinds of damage. There were some tricky aspects, as we live on a steep slope, and some wood support beams were bent by the tree strike. Cam was our team’s leader and he was great, explained everything they were doing, and the repair is so good that you can’t tell the roof was ever damaged. Great communication from the start, coordinated with our insurance, did fantastic work, and easy billing. Five 🤩"

"John Squires is very responsive, professional, and courteous. During the week between Christmas and New Years, we needed a new contractor ASAP for a house we were about to close on and we did not hold out much hope for finding someone on short notice during the holidays. John called us back shortly after we left him a message and agreed to meet with us the next day at the property. The next day, John spent a lot of time with us going through the entire house, pointing out issues that were previously not brought to our attention. He also offered creative ideas for making the space work with careful consideration to our budget. Further, being two women, we are wary of every new male contractor as we have experienced numerous contractors and handymen to be condescending and patronizing (lots of "darlin'" and "honey" and an inability to realize that we know what we are talking about and are not inexperienced or naive about home restoration). John was the opposite, deliberating with him on the house was like talking with a close male friend that respected you and saw you as an equal. We even felt comfortable enough to share with him that we appreciated and noted his approach and manner. As mentioned before, John was very thorough in his assessment of the house and pointed out issues that others had missed. For instance, he pointed out a panel of asbestos in the second story that the person we had paid to assess the house for asbestos had missed. He also pointed out how the foundation had been compromised in a few places in the crawlspace where the current owners had begun digging out the space to convert it into a basement. Ultimately, we pulled out of the contract on the house, so we have not yet been able to work with John on construction. However, John's assessment and insights into the house partly informed our decision to back out of the deal and in hindsight know it was the right thing to do. Without John's perspective, we may have moved forward with the purchase and regretted it later. We are now looking for a different property in Asheville and will absolutely be working with John in the future."

"Paul worked diligently to correct quite a few errors left by another contractor. He is supposed to be finished by this weekend and I expect the results to be nothing but excellent! I highly recommend Paul and would not hesitate to call him again for other jobs."

"Wonderful! Tomas and Jose are VERY hard workers, very reliable, very thorough, very reasonable priced, and know their stuff! We had looked at the reviews on Angies List as well as from a neighbor., all excellent, and well deserved. We started out getting a quote both decks and pressure washing the house. Tomas responded quickly. We gave him the go ahead but not to start for several weeks, since my husband wanted to do some deck repairs himself, first and we also let him know that after that our timing was flexible, since we are both retired. He checked in with us several times to see how the progress was going on our side, which took us longer than expected, and once we had the repairs done, he and his team came out very promptly to do the pressure washing, fitting it in between other jobs. They did an excellent job both on the house and on prepping the deck. A week or so later they came out to stain the deck and, again did an excellent, and very thorough job. A freak rain cam up after they had just finished the second coat, they covered the deck, but came out 2 days later, once it was clear again, to check on it, and then did a third coat with due to the rain, but stuck to the original quote. After seeing what a great job they did, we asked for an estimate on painting the shed, a swing, and the door trim on the house. Again, a very reasonable price and an excellent job. Note that the best way to contact Tomas is via text message to his cell phone. We would use them again for any project around the house, they are very versatile. And, as I found out too late - we had hired someone else - they also do roofing."

"Daniel was extraordinary. His diverse skills make him the "perfect" handyman capable of almost everything around the house. The overall quality of his work is excellent. He is timely coming when he says he will and calling if for any reason he is delayed. What's more he is a delightful person who will happily do whatever asked at very reasonable prices. I have several more projects for him including all of the needs of finishing a framed out basement, and I have absolute confidence in the excellence of his work."
