"Workmanship exceeded my expectations. It was nice to be able to work with the owner on the design concept and his guidance on color and material selection. They truly made my vision to modernize this home and turned it into the nicest home on the street."

"Legacy did a fantastic job. It was a small part of the garage I wanted enclosed and accessible from inside the home and it looks like it was originally built with the home. I was very impressed with the attention and detail they gave to this project. It was a small one so I didn't expect a contractor to give it much attention but they did. Stayed on schedule and first rate workmanship. I am definitely hiring them again."

"I always use Home 360 for all my home and appliance repair needs. Most recently I called for a painter to paint all the trim on my home. Mike Edwards did an excellent job! My estimate for the work was reasonable and he was meticulous about every step of the process. His attention to detail was beyond my expectations. The job was perfect! I will definitely ask for Mike the next time I need a painting contractor."

"<p>This is the 2nd time I've used Home Sweet Home.  I bought a two room deal for painting; we have very high ceilings and lots of wood trim, and we expected to pay a little more than the $375 for that, which is totally fair.</p> <p>They did a great job.  We estimated it would take 2-3 days, and instead it took 1.  They purchased our paint for us through Sherwin Williams, even though the color was from Benjamin Moore.  They passed along their significant savings on the paint to us, and we got it at their cost at no upcharge.</p> <p>We also had a small project from another contractor that needed cleaning up.  Former contractor laid a fence chainwall (concrete), but did not bother to clean up the concrete overspill into our neighbor's yard, which really disappointed me.  The extra concrete made it hard for them to cut their yard (we were so embarrassed).  Home Sweet Home took care of that clean up, no problem.</p> <p>I highly recommend Home Sweet Home and won't hesitate to use them again.</p>"

"I had several small home repairs done by this company including some drywall repair/painting, plumbing fixtures, and several minor electrical repairs. The work performed was high quality and the price was more than fair"

"Jack Taylor is actually out of Mississippi, but he was relocating over here for the house in Baton Rouge. It was a lot of work done in the house, especially with the floors. He made sure the crew cleaned up every time after they finished, so we were all in pretty good shape whenever they finished for the day. When we had any complaints, he took care of it. While they were putting in the kitchen floor, there was something that wasn't done quite right and he wasn't here when they were doing it. When he came back, we explained our concern. He made the workers take up a part of the floor and start all over again. He was a good person to work with. I used him after my ex-wife used him and she was quite pleased with him. His honesty seemed to be the biggest factor working with him and I would certainly recommend him to anyone else. He did sub-contract to some people and we had some complaints about 2 of the main plumbers. They seemed to charge a little bit excessive for what their share of the work was, but he took it off of our bill what we considered the excessive amount. I guess he short bid himself. I would use him again in the future. I feel like I have a new house now."

"I received a call within minutes and, after an informative conversation about the likely cost on this model, we decided to purchase a new one instead of initiating a repair assessment. The technician was most helpful and professional, probably saving us an expensive assessment that would have had the same result- a new dishwasher. I greatly appreciate this assistance and will call Calvin's first in the event of needing major appliance repairs. <br />"

FAQs for major home repair (general contractor) projects in Baton Rouge, LA

In many cases, it’s much less expensive to convert a bus than to buy an RV, especially if you’re considering a newer RV model, which can exceed $100,000.

Another huge benefit of school bus conversion is that you are in control of the renovation project. You get to pick your camper's new layout and all the appliances and furniture.

While school buses can easily cost $300,000 when they're new, you can often find used buses for just a few thousand dollars. These vehicles experience extreme depreciation due to government regulations; they can only be used for so long before they must be replaced. Due to those same regulations, other government agencies cannot purchase them for their own uses, so the consumer market is the only place they can go.

The length of time it takes to convert a bus depends on the scope of the project (and size of the bus), how much work is DIY vs. done by a professional contractor, and how much work you’re doing up front.

In general, expect at least a couple of months for a conversion, but larger conversions could take six months to a year. Remember: You can tackle projects as you go: Get the basic work done so that it’s livable, and then continue to enhance your living space over time.
