"Blake did an excellent and thorough job. We had a leak that he diagnosed and fixed which ended up being a roof issue. He repaired some exterior window framing and also installed new tile floors. He is very detail oriented and his work is impeccable. I have already referred him to neighbors and will definitely use him again."

"Outstanding. I purchased a deal Tuesday morning and immediately after sent a message that I'd like the gutters cleaned asap. I was contacted within 30 minutes and notified of an available time slot the same day. I OK'd it and left access for the crew. When I returned home I found not only had they cleaned the gutters but pressure washed my wraparound deck as well. It was so easy to organize and the work was very well done. Thanks so much"

"We have an auto-maintenance agreement with The Door Refinishing Co, Inc( HappyDoors) and are 100% satisfied with their service. Several years ago (5-7) they refinished out faded and finished damaged front door. It is brutalized with the western setting sun. Since that time we have a refinsh agreement every 6 months ($79.95) and our front door appears new and beautiful year round ! And, we don't have to be home or leave door ajar during and after the maintenance (but you do for initial refinish but door is completely sealed with plastic to prevent wind and dust from home and refinished door). We are so happy to have found this company with prices, availability, punctuality, coutesy, and professionalism ! Complete refinishing of course took a little time and maintenance is done rather quickly. No inconvenience at all on maintenance ! We would use no one else for our doors !"

"One of my vent covers broke and I had birds nesting in my dryer vent. While I love the idea of baby birds chirping in my vent, all of the debris in there was unfortunately interfering with my dryer, and therefore I had to evict my new tenants. That's where Hiram comes in! He gave me a ballpark estimate straight away over the phone so that I wouldn't run into any surprises when he came by, showed up the same day that I called, safely got the birds away, removed the nest, and cleared out a LOT (I seriously mean a LOT) of debris from my dryer vent. Took it apart, cleaned it out, put it back together in no time. It's unfortunate that I had to boot out the new tenants in my home, but they weren't paying rent and they made a bit of a mess! Either way I'd definitely recommend Houston Chimney and Wildlife! Quick to respond and fantastic work and service."

"Everyone was on time (30 minute time slots) or early. From the initial sales consultation to the work performed. The tiles had water behind them. When they cut out the old tile, water was released. They stated they could complete the work today or come back at a later point when the water was dry. We waited a week. They came back on time and completed the work. I'm very happy with the work they performed and their honesty. Would use them again."

"We visited their showroom prior to contracting them for a shower door. We were shown options and an appointment was scheduled for the following Monday. We met with Mario who was very friendly and professional. He measured and we discussed what we wanted. Next thing we knew we had an installation date the same week. Our installers were so friendly and professional. Rudy and Stephan were great. They were very respectful of our property. Thank you for being so professional from start to finish."

"Everything was perfect. Tony was on time, professional, and friendly. He quickly assembled the cabinets and put them in place for me. He broke down all the boxes and left the area very tidy. <br />"

"It went very nicely.  It was so bitterly cold when they were scheduled to come and yet they came anyway and removed all the old ceramic tile from my kitchen, dining and living area and then removed all the carpet from the bedrooms and closets and then laid down new laminate and new quarter round throughout my entire house, closets and all. <br />  I was staying at another location while the work was being done and they did a wonderful job with no supervision from me.  Over a few months I noticed a couple of small areas that had settled some so I called and without question  they came as soon as they could and worked so hard to make it perfect for me. I'm sorry but I don't remember the lead supervisor for that day but he was very conscientious and concerned for doing a great job. <br /> I told them at the time that I would call when I was ready to remodel my kitchen and that's exactly what I'm doing now so I called to see if Levi's company could help me with this and he readily agreed and sent someone out for measurements right away.  I'm very excited to get the work started after choosing the materials."

FAQs for shed, barn or playhouse repair projects in Bay City, TX

You’ll know it’s time for a new shed roof if shingles curl or buckle, soft spots sag, or water stains appear inside. Moss or other plant growth on the surface is another red flag that moisture has breached the roofing layers. Replacing the roof quickly stops leaks from spreading, protects stored items, and saves you from costlier structural repairs down the road.

Choosing between a flat and a sloped shed roof comes down to climate, budget, and upkeep. A flat roof is cheaper up front, but still needs a slight pitch for drainage. A sloped roof sheds rain and snow more easily, lasts longer, and often needs less maintenance. Weigh your local weather patterns, the look you want, and how much time you’re willing to spend on upkeep before deciding.

A shed roof’s life span hinges on the material you choose and how well you maintain it. Most standard products last 15 to 30 years, while premium picks like slate or clay tile can protect the structure for 50 to 100 years. Regular inspections, fast fixes, and routine cleaning all help you reach the upper end of those ranges and keep your tools and gear dry year-round.
