"Everything went very smoothly. Work was completed expeditiously and exactly as agreed. The foreman Manny does beautiful work and manages his team well. The job site was left neat and clean at the end of each day, the workers respectful, and the results meticulous. Part of the job was straightforward: replacing stair treads, repointing brick, and pouring concrete. All was completed expertly. The other major part of the job was a complete rebuilding of a rough stone wall. Here's where Manny and the quality of the work really stood out to me. Not only was the rebuild was completed to spec (which included narrowing the footprint of the wall and patching the areas underneath), but the work was done with high attention to detail and taking the time and care to make the wall look as nice as possible. Well run and well managed outfit who care about doing the absolutely best job possible - would use again in a heartbeat."

However the work that I purchased on Angie's List was not completed, see notes below. The purchase on Angie's list was for the following: $95 for an in-depth foundation inspection, crawlspace inspection (Not performed), home water leakage inspection (not performed), and drainage analysis (not performed) used for creating a preventive water leakage plan Includes a diagram of your home with elevations of your foundation (no diagram was provided and no elevations were measured). Comprehensive results and analysis of inspection, including current foundation and drainage conditions (not performed)"

"Roland contacted us promptly and set up an appointment to evaluate within a few days. We described the water problem we were having and he looked into possible causes. After ruling out a couple of things he said that French drains were the way to go. He accommodated our schedule when setting up a date for the work to begin. Work was started on schedule and was completed over three days. The work crew was pleasant and communicative. On some days the number of people working was pretty large. The project consisted of digging a perimeter trench along the basement wall; installing filler fabric, stone, and perforated PVC pipe to exit into a sump pump; installing a sump pump and a battery backup; connecting the sump pump drainage to our municipal storm drain; drilling out the bottom foundation blocks and mounting drain board to the foundation; re-cementing the concrete floor; reconstructing a concrete platform at the foot of our basement stairs that needed to be removed for the trench to be dug; clean up and removal of debris. All of these things were done expertly. The construction area was curtained off to keep dust and debris isolated. In order to run the drain out to the municipal storm drain it was necessary to dig under a section of sidewalk. The workmen targeted a section of sidewalk that was in need of repair already, so we got the benefit of a repaired sidewalk as well! We knew at the outset that this company does not do electrical work. A power line for the pumps had to be installed by another contractor after the drain was completed."

"The water issue was in a small unfinished corner of the basement after a very heavy rain and only once since we moved in without mold issues- but I decided to get French drains and mold treatment done anyways for the entire basement. Bob gave me a good estimate and then tried matching the lowest estimate I had gotten (his was the second lowest but I decided to go with him). The installation work went smoothly (planning to get the basement refinished soon from one of his contractors who was there for the job so he knows where everything goes back) . "Through Angie's list I contacted Greenfield construction company and met with Frank Fasolo. I had called Frank to look at my front steps which were beginning to crack and the brick work to loosen becoming unsightly and perhaps dangerous. After inspecting the steps Frank recommended not repairing but to replace. I was in full agreement with this and Frank gave me an estimate that I felt was fair and within the price range that I had anticipated. Frank arrived promptly and on time on the day we had agreed upon to start the work. As the demolition progress it was discovered that at the time of the original installation of the existing stairs the contractor had failed to protect the building with flashing. This failure caused the building and the supporting studs to become rotted and presented a dangerous situation which in the end would have caused an area of the front entrance way to collapse. Frank immediately took all necessary steps to repair and replace where necessary all the rotted wood and then installed flashing and took other steps to protect the building in the future. The additional work required us to negotiate additional costs which was fair and within reason. The stairs and walkway were then built in a workmanship manner. All work done by Frank was done in a very professional manner and all cleanup was done to my satisfaction.
Throughout the entire experience I found Frank and his worker to be friendly outgoing and extremely pleasant people to do business with. I would highly recommend Frank to anyone who might be interested in any construction or building project. Frank was very helpful in finding a very capable ironworker to replace the hand rails and in following up to ensure that this work was done properly. Despite the difficulties we encountered when demolishing the old stairs, Frank's experience and assuring attitude kept me at ease.
