"The serviceman who arrived for the job, Richie, was extremely friendly, courteous and professional. He called ahead, arrived on time and was very thorough in checking and re-lighting my furnace. He communicated very well what needed to be done for the inspection and even showed me step-by-step how to light the pilot myself for future reference—great info to know! He also gave me an estimate on-the-spot for a leaky valve that should eventually be replaced. (I should also mention that I contacted several other heating companies before I lucked upon K & K. I was in a “no heat” situation and the other businesses either failed to respond or said they didn’t service my “type” of furnace). Richie, however, arrived confident, ready to work, was experienced with my brand of boiler furnace and assured me that I’d have heat again in no time. Never used Home Advisor. They immediately sent prospects. Global's response was quick, but I told the man I would call back after checking other prospects and diagnostic charges. I saw that their diagnostic charge of $89 was consistent with competitors, so called them back. My experience with Global was professional and courteous from the first call to the end. The gentleman informed me that he would have someone at my house u 11:30/12:00. Charles was assigned and at my house by 11:10, I believe. Charles was dynamic and my hero for the day in the midst of the heat that was on it's way. Charles was prompt, professional, knowledgeable, and quick. I was happy to find out that it was just my dual run capacitor and that I didn't have to replace unit or pay an astronomical amount of money ($262). I rated the value for the money a 3 only because I know how cheap the part is. However, the service of having a quick response, professionalism, quick fix, and a central air unit that is cooling wonderfully is invaluable, especially in these hot temperatures.
