"They initially thought we needed the foundations and poles replaced on one or more support poles for our main border beam. This was based on measurements before the carpet was taken out. We scheduled the work, and had the carpet removed. Once removed, it was apparent to the crew that showed up that the work didn’t need to be done. They quickly reassessed and were honest with me about the reassessment. Their crew was already on site and they could have easily just done the work and billed us. They had a structural engineer contact us to follow up and do a formal reassessment of what work needs to be done. Their crew chief attended the engineer’s assessment to make sure they understood. Their estimators and crew were friendly, honest, and knowledgeable. I paid their crew (already on site) to tear apart some wall to make sure we completed the inspection, but no additional work needed to be done. Their work ethic and commitment to getting this right has them on the top of my list for any future work I need done in their area of expertise."

"We have been working with Affordable for a couple of years now. To put it lightly, we have the basement from hell. When they arrived, we had some water in the basement and they quoted us based on their normal pricing. Once the concrete came up, we couldn't believe what we were dealing with. It is a constant flow of water that required two sump pits and an insane amount of work to install our drainage system. Every time they tried to dig a pit it would backfill with sand and water- they had to dig this up painstakingly- foot by foot. We thought for sure we were in for additional costs, but they stuck by the original estimate. Since then, any time we have had an issue or a question, they are quick to answer. Poor Kelly and Bobby probably recognize our number on the caller ID but whenever we make a call or send an email, we always get a response- usually with a visit on the same day. We highly recommend this company for their honesty, customer service, and quality work."

"A neighbor had some work done by 7th State and I watched their progress, so I asked the neighbor for their contact. I had a small porch replaced by a screened porch. The original porch was wood and starting to dry rot, and was slippery in rain and snow. I met with Anthony in February for an estimate and to tell him what I wanted. The County permit process and requirements for improvement went on until September -- an 8 month wait. They required me to plant trees and shrubbery simply to replace something already there, OR pay a fee to not plant trees and shrubbery. Ashley in the office helped me through this and kept me advised of the progress toward getting it started. Work began on September 10, ended mid October. Each step had to be approved by the permit office. The workmanship and finished product are outstanding. Neighbors have complimented me on the improvement. Some workers worked up until 7:00pm to finish their part of the project. I would recommend this contractor to anybody."

"This is the second time that I have used S&S Waterproofing and Foundation Repair. The first time was to fix very large sink holes that were opening up in my front yard, apparently due to underground collapsed drainage piping. This time, when I contacted Steve I asked if they did retaining walls. Steve came to look at the job. I immediately expressed my concern with my limited budget, which Steve completely understood. He offered several options on how to complete the job within my budgetary constraints. We hired S&S Waterpoofing and Foundation Repair to do the job. During each phase of the job, Steve sent me photos of the job progression. He answered any questions that I had almost immediately via text message. Most importantly, he also made sure that my wife was onboard with anything that they were doing. Apparently he knows who controls the money and who the boss is! LOL! The only thing better than the beauty of the wall is how well it works, drainage is completely handled with ease, even during bad rainstorms!
