"Western Rooter to the rescue again! I had a small underground leak which appeared to be due to a bad sprinkler valve. A sprinkler repair company determined that it was not a bad sprinkler valve and thought it was due to a leak in the main water line. Daniel and Alex dug down to find that the leak was coming from a very old (at least 36 years) broken pvc line. After much testing and head scratching to try to figure out where the water was coming from, they decided to "chase the pipe." After much digging, they found that the very old broken pvc pipe was hooked up to a sprinkler valve that was buried 18 inches underground that had not been capped--only turned off. Roots from a nearby tree had opened the valve which caused the leak--crazy! The current sprinkler system has been the same one since we moved into the house in 1988. It took 36 years for the underground leak to occur!"

"I have 3 Kohler Rialto one piece toilets that are very difficult to repair.  The toilet seats attachment connections are not accessible so you have to remove anchors from the top and then insert and attach new anchors.  I replaced the seats on a couple of them myself and it was an incredibly difficult process of trying to drill or break out the old anchors.  Adding the new ones seems easy.  Unfortunately if you tighten the new anchor too much it can expand and crack the toilet.  Which I did.
So now I had to replace one of the toilets.
I contacted Albano's and explained that I needed to have the toilet replaced in the next two days because my wife was returning from a trip and would be very unhappy that I destroyed one of our toilets while she was gone.
They sent Eric out within 30 minutes with the new toilet, at less than it cost from Home Depot, and he completely removed and replaced the toilet perfectly.
These are expensive toilets.  However, they told me up front what it would cost including service and they did exactly what they said for exactly the price they told me.  No shenanigans.
Eric was extremely helpful and professional.  I will definitely use them again if I need any plumbing done.

He provided me with a quote that seemed very pricey at that moment in time in comparison to other quote I got earlier from another plumbing company, who gave a quote without opening it up. "This was a difficult project, owing to the no-cripple-wall construction of my house and the ridiculously tight crawl space - less than a foot in critical spots - plus the maze of beams and ducts. Mr. Rooter had been willing to negotiate and I knocked about $650 off their initial bid. They took another $200 off at the back end because of my concern with overbilling. They didn't have to do that since they had a signed contract in hand, but they were willing to take care of a customer. Thumbs up for that. The work looks solid, as far as this layman can tell. Everything drains as it should and none of the joints leak."
