"Chad showed up on time and started work, he inspected the joist and informed me that he wouldn't be able to do much for the leveling the floors due to how the house is settling but he tried and it's more level than it was before. Chad completed the job in a timely fashion and left the house clean and he even offered to take some additional trash for me that was sitting out front of my lawn, to me he went above and beyond what I asked him to do. I will be using his services in the future if I should need additional work done to my house. <br />"

"I found Dorian Dyer's original paintings to be thought provoking and yet peaceful at the same time. <br /> He creates scenes of a simple and pure love using subjects such as eagles, geese, buffalo, people, the Earth, and the cosmos.  All of Dorian's art expresses a connection with one another and all life.   <br /> With an initial gaze at Dorian's paintings you may see an abstract or New Age piece of art, but when you relax and take a few moments to look deeper, an inner knowing of the masterpiece of all life will come forward.  There is love, beauty, and a gentle reminder of God's presence within each piece of art. <br /> <br />"

"Nathan carefully assessed our existing deck and provided money saving advice on how best to proceed. The estimate was easy to understand, prepared promptly and turned out to be significantly less than a comparative bid . Once the schedule for construction was set we were kept informed and the entire project was completed very close to the original schedule. The crew was friendly and did good work that they clearly took pride in. A few issues that arose during construction were promptly and professionally addressed. The end result is that we now have a very nice and solid deck that we will enjoy for many years to come."

"Had water dripping from bath fan / breaker tripped from moisture pulled down bath fan and noticed moisture on underside of roof. Called two roofers on Angies list and left messages. Called E/P roofing they said foreman would stop by and take a look. Mike showed up within the hour and took a look inside and then went up on the roof to inspect. Said the bath vent pipe needed to be replaced and some of the other penetrations needed to be resealed , they would check all penetrations when they were up there. He was very knowledgable and wanted to know the type of reflective coating used on the roof so they would be able to use a compatable product for good adhesion. He said he could have two men out the next morning possibly to do the job . Two men showed up at 9 am and discussed the scope of the job and were up on the roof and working away quickly , double checked with me on how far inside the ceiling I wanted the new pipe & where done in a couple hours and told me what they found & repaired before they left. I've been trying for two years to get a roofer to replace some screws in our metal roof on a house we own in the Valley and have contacted 4 different roofing companies and still no luck, it was definitely a nice change with the quick response of E/P roofing !! Got rid of all my other roofing company numbers - highly recommend E/P Roofing <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I found them on Angie’s List. They said that they had an A rating, but it has been a very questionable relationship. Their estimate for the job was $300, and they finally got it down to $250. I had given an $80 check for the estimate to the man who came down, and it was to be applied to the services. I had issued the check on the company name, and the owner called and said that the bank wouldn’t accept the check because it didn’t have his personal name on it. I think that is unusual, because he should have a business account. He came back, and I gave him another check for $250, because he needed the check to go and buy supplies to clean my deck. I thought that was unusual too, because he was running it so close that I had to pay for the supplies before he could use them. He sent a man back at around five in the evening, which was very late, and he started scrubbing my deck with some gallons of detergent and my broom, which I had offered. He didn’t have any power washing equipment, so he scrubbed and scrubbed, and he had just started on my driveway, when his boss came and picked him up at seven. When I questioned him about the power equipment, he said that it was at another job, and he was going to go and get it. When he came back, he said that he didn’t have any power equipment. So that man is going to come and scrub my driveway this morning, with my hose and my broom. I have some more work that I wanted him to do, but now I don’t know if I want him to do any more work for me at all. He said that he was sorry, and that it was all a misunderstanding, but it was just his total inefficiency. The worker who worked here really worked hard, and he did a good job, but I was really surprised that he had to come and get another check so that he could go and buy some supplies, and the fact that he doesn’t have a business account. I was also surprised that he sent that man to scrub my deck with a gallon of detergent. I have cats, cats lick their feet, and I would just be horrified if anything happened to them."

FAQs for foundation, basement or crawlspace waterproofing / encapsulation projects in Big Lake, AK

The most affordable way to waterproof your basement is with interior methods like waterproof paint, costing between $1 and $8 per square foot, or silicate concrete sealers priced at $4 to $6 per square foot. However, these solutions are only suitable for certain issues. If your basement moisture is due to more serious problems like a cracked foundation, you'll need more extensive (and costly) repairs.

Absolutely! Waterproofing your basement is a smart investment that can increase your home's value. By keeping your basement dry and free of moisture problems, you protect your home's structural integrity and make it more appealing to potential buyers. Plus, taking proactive measures now can prevent costly water damage repairs down the line.

The time required to waterproof a basement depends on the selected method. Some approaches to interior waterproofing, like paint or sealant, can be completed within a day. Installing new drains or weeping tiles will need at least two to three days of labor. Any forms of exterior waterproofing that require you to excavate land will require an additional three days of work to prepare the ground.

Yes, basement waterproofing can significantly increase your home's value. A dry, leak-free basement is a strong selling point for potential buyers, enhancing your property's desirability and market price. Investing in professional waterproofing not only protects your home's structural integrity but also ensures a healthier living environment by preventing mold and mildew growth.

Waterproofing both the interior and exterior of your basement offers the best protection against moisture. Exterior waterproofing stops water from penetrating your foundation, while interior methods manage any moisture that does enter. If you must choose one, exterior waterproofing is generally more effective, as it prevents water from reaching your home's interior in the first place.
