"Simply put, you will NOT find a better, more honest, more helpful, more easy-to-work-with, reasonably priced contractor than John Lee and his crew at J & K Home Improvement & Restoration! We had a "complicated" set of circumstances when our home was damaged by a storm, last winter. The insurance company sent out an estimator to assess the damage and, after the company recommended J & K Home Improvement & Restoration, I was introduced to John Lee. I eventually learned that John also does estimates for a variety of insurance companies (because his company is so well regarded), and he patiently listened as I described the nuances associated with our house. During our initial consultation, he was able to clearly describe all of the steps that would be necessary and answer all of our questions. Long story short, not only was John able to address EVERY single concern and request that we had regarding the eventual repairs to the house (including roof, siding, and a window upgrade that would have cost much more if we had done it at a later time), but he spent plenty of extra time making sure that everything we had talked about was addressed to our 100% satisfaction! He was also able to persuade the insurance company to cover more complete repairs than was originally specified by the first adjuster! In addition, when we had an electrical "hiccup" associated with all the pounding on the walls, John quickly sent an expert electrician to locate and correct the problem. He absolutely could have passed those charges on to us because the failure wasn't due to any mistake on the part of his crew but, instead, he picked up the unanticipated expense himself. It was truly a pleasure to work with John! "Tak completed a huge project for us in September that involved dry walling our cathedral ceiling, putting in can lighting, some minor carpentry work, and a lot painting, including a huge, wall-to-wall, floor to ceiling bookcase (in addition to walls and ceilings). The project involved almost exclusively working on scaffolding, and organizing multiple subcontractors. We threw them an added challenge of having to do all of this under time pressure, as we had previously planning a large party, so the work had to be complete by a certain date, with almost no room for error or delays. Tak did great work, on schedule, and with professionalism. Tom (the owner) was super responsive and all of his own crew, as well as the folks who he subcontracted, lived up to his level of professionalism. We had a large, complex job, and definitely picked the right company to do the work. I'd hire them again or recommend them to others without hesitation."

"Andy patched four areas of drywall for us that where either a hole or tape was peeling. This type of a repair is more of an art than science and Andy did a great job. Additionally, we had rotted plywood on some baywindows on the exterior of the house that Andy replaced. Andy does very nice work and is very clean and professional. I would recommend him to anyone looking for handyman services."
