If I decided to use them the service fee was not counted toward the repair. Found TheJetFix on-line and called. They were out within 1d, diagnosed the issue and ordered the parts. The repair could not be completed as there was additional damage. They ordered another part and ultimately fixed the issue. This was important to me as I did not want to get rid of a perfectly good appliance and add to the ever growing landfills. Also, a new unit would have cost me more that 2x the repair (Thermador microwave). Arthur and John were great. Both courteous and professional and passed whatever savings they could on to me. Cannot say enough about this service. You will not be disappointed if you hire them. By the way, their service fee was counted toward my repair! Good business practice!"

"The guy that came out was nice but really didn’t do a great job of troubleshooting. He said it was a pressure sensor problem and that the whole control board needed to be replaced. He called and gave his shop and they gave me a price of over 350 dollars. I told him no way I’m gonna pay that since it was more than the machine is worth. He then offered that I call the manufacturer to see if they could help which I did. The manufacturer sent their own repair man and that guy just pretty much reset the computer and now my machine works well. I should have just called the manufacturer first. I had to pay the 80 dollar service call to Affordable Appliance for them just to diagnose it. I was charged the 80 at first and the owner Richie contacted me and was very helpful in making my situation right. He refunded me the charge for the service call and offered his business again if I want it in the future. This was a great way to show that he cares about his customers and based by that action, I will recommend him for future jobs."

"I can't speak highly enough of Phil and will call him immediately whenever I need repairs to any appliance.  I suspect Phil could figure out a clever way to fix anything!  I called in a bit of a panic when my refrigerator's lights and display failed, not sure what was going on and not finding much information via internet searching.  I worried that my kitchen fridge was shot, or that repairs would be more costly than sensible with an 11-year-old appliance (given the geometric progression of obsolescence these days).  Phil returned my call almost instantly, which was good luck for me, and said he could come by to look at the fridge later that day after other scheduled appointments.  He mentioned some helpful bits of information about his experience with this model and reassured me that it seemed possible to repair, but he clearly indicated a practical mindset regarding cost/benefit depending upon the ultimate problem.  Phil arrived a few hours later, having called in advance as promised, and I was instantly impressed with his professional demeanor, presentation (spiffy truck, neatly organized tools, possible "fix" unit in hand, tidy appearance) and friendly manner.  Phil quickly assessed the fridge and went to work trying a few things, since the motherboard replacement that initially seemed as though it would be the required repair wasn't so obvious once Phil took a closer look.  Phil talked through a few ideas with me and noticed that his tinkering with the light switch appeared to have reinstated a lost connection.  That's when the really impressive work began, as I observed Phil research the possible causes and solutions to the switch problem, including the absurd twist that GE doesn't provide this particular switch for replacement any longer!  Phil diligently and quickly found a substitute, ordered it, and explained what would happen next.  The solution was much less expensive than any I had considered possible, and Phil had already managed to get the fridge running, and he was clear and helpful about the follow up switch replacement to come once the part arrived (which also happened very quickly).  Phil went above and beyond in every respect.  I've rarely had the good fortune to be so completely impressed with a professional service provider.  I will keep Phil's contact information at the ready at all times and I recommend him to anyone who requires repairs in their home.  In addition, on an equally-important level in many ways, Phil is friendly, personable, and a good communicator who followed up exactly as promised.  He is a creative problem solver.  And my dog thinks he's found his new best buddy! <br />"
