"Everything went very well from the first call to completion. Estimator was very responsive, professional and helpful. Project manager and foreman were very good also. The men who did the work were professional, considerate of our home, polite and did a great job and great cleanup. We have an estimate for vinyl fencing installation and will use United Construction again for that, in the spring."

"We called for an estimate, they came in, measured, marked the layout and gave us what turned out to be an accurate estimate of the time and cost involved. They showed up on schedule and worked hard. They were friendly and answered all of our questions. They usually do large contract jobs but they also do this kind of 'specialty' job, the stamped concrete, which I would recommend to anyone considering options for a sidewalk or driveway."

"Expert House Movers brought a crew of 6-8 & came in late August 2013 to start the process of raising & moving the house.  My husband had done all the prep work of disconnecting the utilities & removing the furnace, etc. They dug access ramps to the old foundation/basement with bobcats.  They poked good sized holes around the foundation so they could put in steel beams and jack up the house.  Our foundation was from 1917 & built from old creek gravel cement, so it was pretty tough.  It took three & half days to jack the house & move it over the driveway.  It seemed really fast to me.  The only thing to fall in the house was a picture off the piano.  We still had access to the house through a tall ladder to get clothes, etc. that we needed. <br /> We took over the process of arranging excavation, concrete pouring, and carpenters with more local contractors.  Expert does have concrete people & others they use in the St Louis area that know exactly the requirements needed for the new foundation. <br /> After the basement was poured & cured (curing takes about 3-4 weeks), Expert returned in October 2013 to move & set the house.  They had been in contact with the concrete man for specifications, but there were no slots for the beams when setting the house down.  A concrete worker had to come & cut those slots.  We had a carpenter on hand to finish the sill installment & make sure the sills for the permanent beams was correct & set the support posts in the basement.  We also had a friend's tractor help Expert's bobcat pull the house back over the foundation.  While all this was going on, Expert was jacking and moving supports & placing slider beams & raising & lowering the house.  The process was complete in about 2 1/2 days with care & precision.  Some of the cracks in our house even disappeared.  Great job guys. <br /> Our carpenters returned to build a staircase & some other requirements.  We are working on re-connecting utilities & returning the furnace, water heater, etc. to the new basement.  We plan to move back into the house in the first week or so in November 2013.  It's been a long process, but well worth it.  Made possible by Expert House Movers! <br />"

"The system has worked perfectly.  However, two days ago, the pump failed.  Because of the extreme cold weather, the pipe froze and the pump burned up trying to pump.   <br /> I called last night and Mike arrived about noon today. He replaced the pump and associated piping  and helped me unfreeze the pipes.  Bob called and told me they would cover the repair this time and told me how to prevent a freeze-up again.   <br /> I should have realized the potential, but the pipes have never frozen before in 30 years in this house.  Thanks to Affordable I did not have to spend the money for pump and labor.  Furthermore, I plan to install a heating coil to prevent it happening again.   <br /> They really did not have to help me out like that, but they did.  A good company to do business with. <br /> <br />"

"My experience was okay. He was a little slow, but he was okay. I would probably call him again. I did not have a big job. If I had a big job come up, I am going to call him. I am looking for a roof to be put on, and he said does that kind of stuff. So, I am going to see if he is able to do that. I would recommend him. His price was fairly reasonable. He did not get here when he was supposed to, but his work was fine. I am going to call him. I want him to do a roof for me in the next month or so."

"I started looking for a contractor by calling the companies I had heard of and that i thought were well known for roofing; Robert J. Green, Dave Wagner and they would not return my calls. I left more than one message for Robert J. Green but no return call. I then started calling other random names just to get an idea of how much it would cost. I had never heard of All American builders but I talked to Will, the owner and made an appointment to get an estimate. He came on time to look at my job, I received the estimate when he said I would; not by e-mail but in person. I had seen a previous post on Angie's list that was somewhat negative about his company so I discussed it with him and although I was still somewhat apprehensive, I liked him, he seemed trustworthy, he had the best price of 3 estimates (not that I always go with the cheapest) so I decided to give him the job. I could not be happier with the result. They were in and out in just a couple of days. They cleaned up every night. I never found a single nail in my driveway or anywhere else. The roof looks great. I couldn't be happier. I build my house originally and have had a lot of work done over the years. I've had some very frustrating experiences with contractors but I will definitely hire All American Builders again. <br />"

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Binghamton, NY

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
