"We received an estimate for excavating at the point of the break and replacing about 4 feet of sewer line.  They discovered that the house had settled and a direct reconnection would result in insufficient downward slope to the city sewer line in the street.  They e-mailed us an estimate of the additional cost with an itemization of the additional work to be done.  It required still more excavation to successfully connect the line, but again they gave us an itemization of the work and estimate of the additional cost.  The crew worked hard and long hours to complete the job -- always polite and friendly.  Overall we were very pleased with their professionalism and willingness to proceed with the project in increments rather than give a very high estimate just to be sure to cover their costs.

He came out the next day and gave us a quote and didn't happen to have the parts on hand (we have an OLD house), but said he'd get back to us as soon as he could, even though he was fully booked for the week. "Vortex Plumbing did a great job! It was quite an extensive process. It takes days to re-pipe a whole house and I was expecting to be without running water for a few of those. Baldeep did his best to make our inconvenience as little as possible. He and his crew did as much preparation as possible and only had to turn off our water for about 3 hours during the whole process.
