When I called John he offered to come that Sat., but would be cheaper to come on Monday. Chose to wait. He came as expected, took care of the problem, left a cage for unfinished business, and came back a week later to remove the cage. He was very pleasant and advised me of cost upfront. Said many companies charge per animal removed, he did not charge like that. It was a flat rate. 7 babies would have been very expensive! There was a trip charge and a removal charge. "Ron from Ampest was our exterminator.  He arrived on time and performed a whole house inspection and inspected the attic for any rodents.  He determined that they had created a small hole in the eaves of the roof and set traps both on the roof as well as on the ground by the tree.  Over the next 5 days we caught about 6 squirrels (the mother and some of her babies)and even one chipmunk.  He arrived every morning to check the traps, replace them with new ones and take the squirrels to a forest preserve to release them unharmed..  After the service was ended, we cut down the tree by the house to prevent any squirrels or other wildlife from climbing on the roof. About a week later we heard some other noises in the attic and actually saw one squirrel on the roof so we called them out again.  He looked again in the attic to ensure they did not get in but were confined to the eaves.  He set more traps but was unable to catch any more squirrels.  We think they eventually jumped off the roof and we have never heard anything back in the next two weeks.  We are very pleased with their service, attention to detail and professionalism.  They answerde all of our questions and did not hesitate to return after the contract was over to set more traps and monitor. <br />"

"100% would recommend Mica from Plunkett’s to deal with your cockroach issues. We had roaches off and on for many months, despite a good cleaning regime etc., and eventually realized other units in our shared building had the same issues. Mica quickly and precisely diagnosed the source of the issue, was real with us about time and possible costs, worked with us in coordinating multiple units, patiently answered all questions, and in the end helped my neighbors and I deal with this extremely persistent issue in a relatively short time frame. He approached treatment with a lot of care and thought, in particular listening and adjusting for our concerns re: safety of our young toddler. This was a big one for us! Plunkett’s was a bit more expensive than some other pest control companies we looked at, but neighbors had already tried multiple other services and it never got rid of the issue. In the end, it was probably cheaper than multiple ineffective treatments, but more importantly we haven’t seen a roach in several months."

"Ryan came at the appointed time & professionally explained the procedure and pricing. Performed an all-sides-of-house inspection to confirm only one animal access point. Secured several humane traps on roof near access. I chose to call Ryan each morning to report on the contents of the traps rather than have him make a daily trip. Caught 4 squirrels in 3 days. Traps were removed & access sealed up after 3 days of no further activity. Very professionally done. Definitely I would hire Animal Control Specialists again. Recommend them highly."

"After consulting Angie's List, we called Chicago Pest Control. Very pleased with response, service, and professionalism. I phoned initially to get an estimate on services, which they provided. I called the next day to schedule an appointment, which we were able to make for the next afternoon (though I think that was more so because of my schedule; I'm sure they could have been out to our house immediately, if that had been requested). Erik, our technician, arrived on time; he was very knowledgeable, very professional, clearly had experience in the field. The company seems honest -- i.e. I felt they were trying to respond to my need rather than "sell" me a bundle of services. Best of all, we haven't seen an ant since Erik left yesterday.
