His prices are fair and he does great work, from something as simple as replacing a switch or a thermostat, to changing out fixtures, and cutting out and installing recessed lighting. He was very patient with my perfectionism in determining the correct placement of the ceiling lights and had all of the necessary tools to get it done right. He assembled and mounted 2 large TVs on the wall including installing the outlets, and made sure it was centered perfectly. It feels good knowing that I have someone I can count on for all my future electrical and lighting projects that will see my vision and make it a reality. I'm pointing this out because Marvin's work is so good that it is totally worth the effort for me to keep trying. Carvin Electric, which Marvin leads, is the model of what a contractor should be...reasonable, fast, super easy to work with, and incredibly reliable. Marvin and team did exactly what we asked and then some. He had great ideas of ways to improve our project, and never tried to gouge us for changes or upgrades. "We recently had Mega Power Electric Inc install a solar system and panels. The President and provided excellent communication all the way through the process. He even met with us after installation to explain the almost incomprehensible PG&E bill. Although not the least expensive bid, his was competitive and I felt he was as interested in educating me about solar and the various types of panels and inverter systems as he was in selling a system. He demonstrated how the array of panels would meet our energy needs and as opposed to some of the other companies, wasn't selling us more than we needed. We are very satisfied with our solar system and I highly recommended Mega Power Electric Inc."

"While Michael the owner was responsive when it came to the actual scheduled job he sent a much junior technician whom I certainly did not expect because he did not tell me. They were supposed to contact me before he showed up but there was no advance call, luckily I was home at the time. The tech did his job and was about to just leave without showing/telling me about how it works or what he installed. I had to ask him about the installation so I can be sure I knew how the equipment operated and if there's anything I needed to know about the install. In the end my opinion is the attic fan was a waste of money and my time. We don't notice any difference in the interior temperature of our house when it's hot. When I inquired about a refund (within 30 days of the install), Michael said he would offer $89 refund for the equipment and not the install. And to think if I didn't use Angie's list, this would have cost me several more hundred dollars. An expensive lesson learned!
