"I discovered the problem early on a Friday afternoon and immediately filled out an Angie's List request for an appliance repairman for my refrigerator malfunction emergency. Right away, I received the names and contact info on 3 A-listed repairmen in my area. I called the repairman nearest my home, but he said he had 5 other jobs ahead of mine and wouldn't be able to come. Then I received a call from Erwin Barrientos from Mr B Home Services. He was on a job in Fort Myers and had another in Naples, but he promised to be at my house as soon as he finished his other jobs. He arrived about 6:30 PM xand Immediately went to work assessing what my fridge's cooling problem was. It took him little time to determine that its compressor was shot. He explained how my compressor works, photographed the coils? that should have been frosty but were not so that I could see the evidence, and used a meter? to verify that the Freon that should have been flowing was not. He himself does not install the kind of compressor my LG fridge uses but advised me that I could get a compressor from someone else who is authorized to install this kind of compressor. In short, although he could not restart the cooling in my fridge and freezer, I felt I had the info I needed to make a decision about whether to repair my 7-year refrigerator or to replace it."
