JAMES of C&D Drain Cleaning came to the rescue. My pipes, which were exposed in the basement, were made of steel and clogged up due to yrs of accumulating debris from '64 (when my house was built,' to the present. James was right on pt with the problem. He didn't have all the materials to complete this job on May 23rd, so he arrived this morning to finish up unclogging my pipes. "It all ended well - AHS decided to replace the furnace (19 years old) instead of the pricey part. It was a long process, though, during the hottest part of the summer. Communication between AHS and the vendor was not good. The vendor and I were both calling daily for status, having to wait on hold for 20-40 minutes before getting a person. However, the people we spoke to at AHS were very friendly and helpful. Call backs were non-existent, though, which would have been more of an issue if results were not seen. I am just grateful the 3 weeks without the furnace was during the uncomfortable summer as opposed to the bitter cold winter. Bottom line is - it got done, but it was long and drawn out. At this point we've gotten more out of the program than we put in, but I am thinking the inconvenience isn't worth the difference. The cost of service below is only for the service call - our annual AHS is about $1800."
