"I use Brown plumbing on a regular basis.  They are dependable and helpful.  Sometimes even walking me through the process to save me a little.  Most recently I had them install a hot water heater.  That experience wasn't as smooth as I lost some time due to confusion around who was supposed to contact city for inspection, but in fairness, it could be that I misunderstood.  They removed the old hot water heater too, which was nice. <br />"

"One couldn't ask for more from a service company. Punctual. Professional. Courteous. Any questions I had were answered on the spot, none of this 'I'll have to get back to you', stuff. There was electrical work and marble work involved in the bathroom work. Action had all of that taken care of, scheduling and all. I can't recommend Action Plumbing high enough. Call Action and rest easy."

"Very good. He showed up and we looked at water drainage together and knew that I had to move my above ground pool for him to get to pipes. He put a pump in pool to start draining it and his wife called. who was pregnant. She was on the way to hospital because of possible labor. He had to leave, but came back that afternoon as soon as his wife got to go home and fixed the well. We moved the pool the next day and he came back the next morning and fixed the pipe. He and his helper were great!!! Very professional and truthful. I will be calling back when I get the money to get pipes replaced. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Bordelonville, LA

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
