The initial install was going great until he unboxed the new hot water heater only to realize it was completely dented. He worked with us to figure out a solution. He installed the dented water heater, so we wouldn't be without water until the new one could be here (special order). He even offered to allow us to not pay until the second water heater was installed. He is absolutely an amazing contractor and I would recommend him to anyone. "Installed softener and RO. The whole setup was kind of pricey, but after doing exhaustive research I got a comfortable feeling that this hardware (both the softener and the indoor RO unit) is the absolute industry best. The installers were very conscientious and thorough. When they arrived, they found that they would have to install the unit on the total opposite side of the house. Fortunately, the Kinetico softener doesn’t need power so it was not an issue that there was no power out where they needed to install it. When installing the RO unit, they even pointed out that my dishwasher was not hooked up right (not connected to hot) and he fixed it without additional charge.

"Well, the first time the replacement was ordered it was the wrong one, which of course, delayed the installation a week. When it was finally installed I had to pay an additional $850 for code upgrades. This I was not informed of by Home Shield. Then we noticed that there was water on the garage floor and found that the pipe coming in from the wall was leaking at the wall so had to call the plumbing company back out to fix it. They first tried to say it was not their fault but since there wasn't a leak before they installed they did fix it. I have used Home Shield a few times before and never had a problem. Some of the companies they use are not the best so you have to research them before you commit. I have found HS service to be good if you do your homework. At the end of the day I was without hot water for almost 3 weeks but it was do to the plumbing company they sent out."
