"I can’t even tell you how lucky we were to find and hire Jimmy. We did a lot of research and read online reviews. We could tell we found the exact right person for the job when we first met him. Not only is he easy to get along with (and funny!), but also he has extensive knowledge, a keen eye, many years of experience, and had really helpful suggestions for our project. This sealed the deal for us. He just finished tiling our large kitchen, entry and laundry room and we could not be happier with the result. It all turned out amazing! He is a true expert and craftsman - for example, he saw issues with our trim and fixed it before it turned into a real problem with the grout. He is also a consummate professional- he showed up everyday and on weekends, gave us an ETA each morning of when he would arrive, and walked us through the steps and what we should expect to get done each day. We’re already planning to have Jimmy come back and tile/renovate the bathrooms in our house. If you can have Jimmy work on your tile and installation, consider yourself lucky- you’re getting the best and your project will be in good hands. If ratings could go to an A+ that’s what we would give."

"Had a great experience and am very pleased with the work done. The owner Josh Jacks was responsive to my inquiry and despite a busy schedule, was able to fit me in right away for both the estimate and for completing the work on my tight deadline. His estimate was much less than a competitor and the results are very impressive indeed. Josh communicated clearly throughout the whole process and answered all of my questions along the way. His crew was professional and hard-working and they did a fantastic job. I can't believe how great my bathrooms and floors look - like brand new! I would highly recommend Josh and Advantage Tile and Grout Cleaning and would definitely use them again."

"My roof needed to be replaced for the rental apartment. After a string of unpleasant experiences, I decided to give hometown restoration a call in late December 2021. I talked with the chief executor, who was extremely friendly over the phone and scheduled a roof inspection and an in-person appointment with my husband and me. First, they arrived at our house with a full detailed, extensive power slide presentation of what they would be going to do and provided us with the option of selecting various shingles. Due to some serious problems, my roof was completed at the end of March in 2022. It took only 4days, and they finished the roof work very professionally. My roof looks different and unique. They missed some nails during the clean-up process, so they came up again and cleaned the place with the magnet sweeper to make us 100% sure. They were careful and diligent in their job and considerate of any mess during the repair. Great experience with them! Suggest other people in need of roof work."

"In a market where it's difficult to even get someone to call you back, Kevin returned my call quickly, gave me a quote on the same day and started the work in less than 2 weeks.  The guys who showed up worked their butts off and did an awesome job.
I've had so many contractors in my home that I'd never have back, but Peters Floors was AWESOME and I would not hesitate to recommend them or use them again.

FAQs for tile, stone, marble clean, grout, polish and maintain service projects in Boulder, CO

Use a stiff-bristle brush and warm, soapy water to loosen surface grime. Then, let the grout dry and finish with a grout-specific sealant. This combo cleans without scratching the tile and locks out new stains. Always follow the label directions so the cleaner and sealant bond properly. A few extra minutes of care keep grout bright and help your floors look fresher longer.

The most effective cleaner for badly stained grout is a professional-grade steam machine. High-pressure, high-heat vapor lifts embedded dirt without harsh chemicals and brightens grout lines in one pass. Pros often pre-treat tough spots with a mild solution and finish with a soft brush to protect the tile. The result is a deep, even clean that lasts longer than store-bought products.

Tile and grout are water-resistant, not waterproof. Dense materials like porcelain or glass shed moisture well, but even sealed natural stone and standard cement grout can absorb water over time. That’s why routine sealing and prompt spill cleanup matter.

Keeping moisture out prevents erosion, mold, and discoloration—especially in bathrooms, kitchens, and other splash-prone areas.

Schedule professional tile and grout cleaning every six to 12 months, with quick touch-ups in between. Busy kitchens and bathrooms often need attention on the shorter end of that range because constant moisture speeds up staining.

Sticking to this routine keeps grime from setting, reduces mold risk, and stretches the life of your tile and grout, saving you from bigger repairs later.

When done correctly, tile and grout cleaning is perfectly safe for your floors. Pros match cleaners and brushes to your tile type, control pressure, and avoid harsh chemicals that can etch or erode surfaces.

If you’re DIYing, test new products in an inconspicuous spot and follow label directions. The right technique removes buildup while protecting both the tile glaze and the grout lines.

Yes—apply a fresh sealer once the grout is completely dry, usually 24 hours after cleaning. The sealer forms a moisture-resistant barrier that blocks stains, mold, and everyday dirt, making future scrubbing easier. Skipping this step leaves porous grout exposed, which can lead to discoloration or cracks and, ultimately, expensive repairs. A quick reseal now protects both the grout and the surrounding tile.
