"Thrasher did a great job. The foreman was knowledgeable and he explained what was going to be done. We were allowed to watch the process. They leveled the front step and the sidewalk by drilling holes in the concrete and pumping foam under them until everything was level. They caulked everything when they were done and cleaned up the area. The entrance to our home looks so much better. It was well worth the money."

"Everything went as explained, diagramed, and promised by our System Design Specialist, Mr. Nicolas Hruska. We initially contacted just the top two Foundation Repair Experts listed on Angie's List because we can't afford to have our home repaired by anyone who lacks the proper credentials, staff, tools, training, techniques, supplies, 25 year transferrable warranty, and the hands on experience to deliver all services as promised. We are extremely pleased with the final results to take back our homes basement from poor workmanship done by the original builder and owner of our home back in 1979 We purchased the home in 2001 and unknown to us the foundation had been placed on top of clay based sub-soil which was an acceptable building practice back in 1979. Today's building codes prohibit this careless and costly practice of home site preparation for the homeowner. A word to the wise, do your home work first and then protect the biggest asset that most Americans have, their home. Respectfully, Kenny L. Hutcheson, CMSgt, USAF/USN, Ret. Indianola, Iowa"

"We are so happy with the look of our new patios and the job completed. The team communicated well, were very friendly, answered all of our questions, and worked hard to complete our project. I would definitely recommend them for your concrete needs."

"<p>When I contacted Mike he was very friendly and professional.  We scheduled for him to come out sometime during the week.  It was not an emergency and time was not an issue.  He came out to look at the needed repair in a timely manner even without the scheduled time frame.  </p> <p>After he looked at our needs he met with and reported that what we needed was something that really didn't need his services.  He told me that the concrete hadn't sunk but had moved away from the home due to the drought of 2013.  He explained many homes had the same type of problems after the drought.  He then said the concrete most likely stopped moving.  He suggested that we simply tuck point where the bricks were coming away from the exterior of the house.  He even mentioned a few companies that if needed could assist us further.</p> <p>He was honest, professional and friendly.  If we need his services (raising concrete slabs such as sidewalks, driveways, steps and such) we will use him.. You can appreciate a person that gives it to you straight even if it means they don't get the business.  </p> <p>Top Notch.<br /> <br /></p> <br />"

"We thought we needed foundation work. They not only told us that was incorrect. They directed us to a structural engineer who would be able to help us. No charge. Most appreciated."

"1. Decided not to go through with this work. As products I was advised to order by contractor were out of stock and decided to do the work with a friend. 2. Looks good! 3. Floors look great; subcontracted out. Should've had couple items clearly written out before work began but happy with the work completed. Dispose of all trash/scrapes myself. I wouldn't hire again due to a couple issues but work completed was an A."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Bouton, IA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
