"Thrasher did a great job. The foreman was knowledgeable and he explained what was going to be done. We were allowed to watch the process. They leveled the front step and the sidewalk by drilling holes in the concrete and pumping foam under them until everything was level. They caulked everything when they were done and cleaned up the area. The entrance to our home looks so much better. It was well worth the money."

"PCS did a great job replacing my driveway and service walk. They completed the work quickly, it looks great, and exceeded my expectations. They were extremely cautious removing and replacing the grass around the driveway and cleaned up all the areas where they worked to a condition better than they found it. I would most definitely recommend their work and hire them again for any concrete work."

"Mike and his crew were wonderful!  We had Mike come out  to give us an estimate on the back patio only (not considering the front of the house) and Mike suggested we have the driveway and stoop done to help with drainage.  He said he could do the patio for $450 (it was a BIG job!  The patio had sunk over 6 inches right in the corner where the patio met two corners of the house and was cracked in several places.)  He said he would do the driveway, which had sunk 4 inches and the front stoop which was had sunk several inches for an additional $350.  We felt both prices were fair considering how far everything had sunk and the size of the area in which they would be raising.  Mike even took an area of the driveway that was broken up in several places and raised those to the best of his ability.  While Mike was here I added the service entry door slab and the sidewalk to their "to do list" and Mike only charged me an extra $50.  When the job was done Mike went around our house giving us suggestions as to where to add more dirt to help with drainage.  I felt Mike went above and beyond what was expected.  I would definitely use him again (although we already had him take care of all problem areas in one shot) and would recommend him to all my friends and family.  Definitely an A+++  <br />"

"We thought we needed foundation work. They not only told us that was incorrect. They directed us to a structural engineer who would be able to help us. No charge. Most appreciated."

FAQs for concrete injection leveling mudjacking projects in Bouton, IA

Mudjacking and foam jacking differ significantly in both materials and methods. Mudjacking uses a cement-based slurry to fill voids beneath a slab, while foam jacking uses expanding polyurethane foam delivered under high pressure to achieve superior structural support. This material distinction enhances load-bearing strength and overall stability in your repair.

Mudjacking takes between one and three days to dry completely. During this time, it's important to avoid putting weight on the slab until it's fully cured. The drying time depends on the project size and environmental conditions. In contrast, polyurethane foam used in foam jacking can cure in as little as one hour.

No, mudjacking is not a permanent fix for sinking concrete. While it effectively lifts the slab and can last five to 10 years, it doesn't address underlying soil issues that may cause future sinking. For a more permanent solution, you might consider foam jacking or complete slab replacement, which can address deeper structural problems.
