"We went with John as his bid was lower. He worked alone for most of the project which helped keep costs down. The project did take a long time as he was balancing snow removal with our renovation, but he did explain this before he started. He was very honest and had good ideas; we never thought he was deliberately running up the price or making the project more complex than it needed to be. He was willing to do a few other minor repairs around our home that were needed. He also removed all construction debris and was willing to economize when we asked him to.
