There was a month delay between the time I called them and they time they were able to come out -- they originally said that it would only be a week, and we had to delay it by a week on our end as well."

"<p>Our AC went out on Saturday evening.  On Sunday morning we reviewed providers of AC services on Angie's list.  My husband also went to yellow pages to see how the considered providers presented themselves in their ads.  We decided on Howard Heating because the yellow pages ad said their phones were staffed 24/7 instead of relying on answering machines and voicemail.  We called mid-morning.  We got an answering machine!  My husband left a message requesting a call back.  It is now 1:30 and we have not heard from Howard Heating.  We have resolved our situation with another provider, for whom I have also left a review.</p> <p><br /></p> <p>UPDATE:  On July 31, 2014, I received a very polite letter of apology from Mr. Howard, in which he provides a very reasonable explanation for the lack of response from his company representative.  The text of that letter actually appears in his response to my original review.  I am appreciative of his taking the time to get in touch with me personally by letter.  He also enclosed a gift card to a local restaurant (value of which I do not know) with the comment "Please enjoy a meal on us."   I have changed my overall rating from F to C because of his explanation.  If given the choice on the Angie's List review form, I would also have changed my response to " Would you use this provider again in the future?"  from "No" to "I probably would give them another opportunity" as acknowledgement of Mr. Howard's prompt response to my criticism and his intent to ensure that situation is not repeated.  <br /> <br /> </p>"
