"Was a very tough job as the pipe was in a very tight spot. She had to call for additional pieces to be delivered. The job took approximately 5 hours. The only reason I'm giving it an overall B was the cost. Be warned that if the job runs past 4:30 you are charged an overtime rate. I unfortunately was told about 1/2 hour before she would get into Overtime and it was a job that had to be done since we only have one bathroom in our house. They also charge you from the time they leave the warehouse. Their prices are higher for labor than others. So if price is no big deal to you, I highly recommend. However, if price matters, I wouldn't recommend."

"Our electric water heater started having a slow leak. We called Pine State Plumbing to assess the situation. They were able to send a technician within a few hours, where it was determined that our electric hot water heater needed to be replaced. We were told that the technician would clean our gas furnace, as we requested, while a new hot water tank was being delivered. We were informed of how things were progressing, and our questions were answered; the technicians were polite, worked efficiently, and worked carefully and even wore booties over their shoes! Our project was completed in a very timely fashion, and our new hot water tank was now fully operational, along with a nice clean furnace! We could not have been more pleased with our service!"

"We had tenants in our house for a year. We came to check out the house four months after they had left. Unbeknownst to us, they had the gas turned off rather than returned to our name. Condensation because of no gas caused the boiler to malfunction. The Fontaine workers worked tirelessly to repair our boiler, sending over another worker when the first one had to leave. This was all done without advanced notice. We called, they came. Workers and the manager were polite and extremely helpful. We are grateful for their hard work and dedication to the job. <br />"

FAQs for gas piping projects in Bridgton, ME

Plumbers with proper licensing and credentials install and relocate gas lines. When hiring a professional, verify they have experience with gas systems and all required certifications. Some homeowners choose to work with plumbers specializing in natural gas installations, as they have extensive experience with similar projects and understand the safety requirements.

The timeline for gas line relocation varies based on project complexity, permit processing, and inspection scheduling. The physical labor takes a few hours to one day, depending on the line length. However, the actual installation work represents only part of the overall project timeline. Your contractor should provide a specific timeframe based on your circumstances and local permitting requirements.

Your gas supply must be shut off during the relocation process. This safety measure prevents gas leaks while connections are being modified. Plan for this temporary service interruption by making alternative arrangements for cooking, heating, or other gas-dependent systems in your home. The shut-off generally only lasts for a portion of the work, often a few hours.

Relocating gas lines to connect new appliances is a common reason for this type of project. Whether you're installing a gas stove, fireplace, dryer, or outdoor grill, a professional can determine the best route for extending your existing gas system. The cost will depend on the distance between your current gas line and the new appliance location.

Gas line work is not suitable for DIY projects. Natural gas is highly flammable and potentially lethal if not handled correctly. Gas leaks can be difficult to detect without specialized equipment. Professional plumbers have the proper training, tools, and experience to safely relocate gas lines while ensuring compliance with local building codes and safety standards.
