"While each person from this company has been good at doing their job, the communication has been less than desirable. Brannon installed our 220 outlet in the garage and did so quickly and cleanly. Unfortunately he did arrive over an hour late, for the first appointment of the day. He did perform 1/2 of the other projects very well, and he left after about 3 hours on the first day, saying he would wrap up the following day. One thing I asked for was a relabeling of the electrical panel, which he knew he?d need a second person for, so on the second day of work when he was supposed to bring another person he canceled last minute saying he did not have a second person. My project was pushed a week, meanwhile I had to leave open hopes and unfinished work for him to complete the following week. When the following Wednesday came around he canceled again and the office tried to push for me to move my appointment a whole week again. They had a lot of challenges that morning with one of the vans being stolen or broken into, so they did not have someone to send out. A few hours later Brannons supervisor showed up with one other guy to finish Brannons work. They started finishing up the things Brannon did not complete and ran out of time to do the panel because guy #2 had to leave for another project. So they pushed my project another week. The thing that put me over the top however was that they kept ?finding? more things to do, and not doing the first thing I hired them for. The day before what was supposed to be the last day on electrical work, I received an estimate for an additional $1500 of recommended work. Now, in their defense, it was ?recommended? not mandated or forced, but it just felt like after having an unbelievably unprofessional experience with the company, they were ignoring what I wanted and focusing on wherever they could get extra work. If you have all the patience in the world, their workmanship is good."

"Devin Dotson, the owner, spent the day at my home installing a new 200 amp electrical panel. I was very impressed with the quality of his work. He did a great job. He was thorough, marked every new fuse and labeled what each one was connected to. Then he tested everything in the house to ensure it was working properly. Michael came out within a couple days to do an estimate and returned a couple days later to do the work. My home presented a few special challenges, but Michael and another technician, John, worked through them with patience and expertise, and they successfully completed all 3 projects with professionalism and to my specs. "We had a strange issue occurring with our AC tripping the breaker. The company that installed the system checked the unit (1 yr old) and recommended we call an electrician. The first electrician came, and of course, things were working and everything checked out, but soon after they left, the problem came back. Dan from Applewood made a few checks, went outside and immediately saw the problem, the wires were smashed together in the fuse box and causing the problem. Dan also showed us an issue with the circuit breaker, and said it may or may not be part of the problem, and no high pressure pitch just to do some work. We did choose to swap in a new breaker for the unit. I also appreciated the informational approach of offering the membership for Applewood. Because we area doing several upgrades and planned projects, after getting some quotes on the future projects, the membership made sense for this year. I really appreciated the professionalism and customer service by both Dan and Phillip from Applewood and would highly recommend. Finally, the communication from Applewood concerning arrival times kept us informed during the service windows, which was very much appreciated."

"My hard-wired smoke/CO detectors would alarm with each power outage in the community - once power came on, they would stop. They were installed new 3 years ago by another company: I called them the first time this happened, they came and changed the backup batteries but insisted "they must have detected CO": I kept saying not so - I also have independent CO monitors and they were silent (not to mention the timing...alarm ONLY with power outage?). I could not get them do more or test with power off. I suffered through a few more outages and alarms (super distressing!!). Zach LISTENED to me, called backup to discuss possible causes, then went through each detector and found the one that seemed to be the problem, setting all the alarms off (?defective?). I had a new replacement on hand that he installed. He tested with power off and no alarming! The fee to come out was pretty steep, but they said if any problem they would return. So far, so good. I was pleased with his thoroughness and professionalism. I did not realize that this was actually via "Angi": I had contacted a different company online (that advertised they specifically troubleshoot smoke detectors), but Mr. Sparky called back quickly so I was confused. Never heard from the company I completed the online request for? But I'm satisfied Mr. Sparky appears to have solved my problem."

Some highlights of the teams performance are below -Covered all furniture with tarps to ensure they would not get dirty -Wore boot covers to protect my floors (wood and carpet) from getting dirty -Vacuumed and swept the areas that they worked -Informed me well in advance to any power outages that I would have during the project time -Worked outside in a blizzard to complete the job before the time limit -Shoveled my walkway when it snowed while I was at work -Gave recommendations on what I could do in the home (Adding outlets for wall mounted tvs, adding lights above the shower that was previously dark, installing ceiling fans) which were all included in the budget. - Took the time to answer any of my electrical questions and they were more then happy to show me what they were doing. Once again, I cannot express how happy I am with the team that worked in my home. I will definitely use them for any future projects I have in my home and would recommend them to anyone looking for work."
