"Our neighborhood had been hit by a hailstorm a few years ago and most roofs were damaged and needed to be replaced. It was a boon for the roofers as these were insurance claims. Many roofers padded their estimates and passed along some of the extra money to offer freebies to the home owners. Neligan was recommended to us by another homeowner in the neighborhood who had used them and was very happy with the work. We had already received estimates from other roofers, who had the intention of offering incentives to us. Neligan did not do that. They gave us an honest quote for the roof repair. They did a great job, kept us abreast of what was to happen, and were professional throughout. They did not put a lien on our property like other roofers do, which we appreciated. We were very happy with the work they did, and had them later replace the roof of one of our rental properties. That went well also. There were some issues with the skylights leaking after that job but they came and fixed it promptly and there have been no issues since. They also fixed the roof of another rental we had, solving a problem that had existed for years. Finally, when the parish hall of our church needed a roof replacement, we recommended them to our pastor, and they did the work on that roof. There have been no issues with that work either. When it comes time to replace the roof of our other rental property, we will use them again. They are honest (which is hard with roofers), professional, and they back their work."

"Eric written up an estimate for galvanized steel and stainless steel parts that was needed: a spark arrestor, cover, and rain cap. Stainless steel is $200.00 more than galvanized steel but it was the best to keep moisture out of the chimney and not rust. Eric said I can hold on to the estimate and think about it but I knew I had to do something. He has to order the parts and pull permits and needed a 50% down payment. Normally I don't give a check for work not done but I looked up this company on Angies List and the BBB and he was rated an A on both. Eric said he should get the parts within 3 to 6 weeks, I'm hoping sooner. This is an expense that I did not expect but if I just procrastinate the condition of my fireplace will deteriorate. I rarely use it as it is because the weather is rarely cold. My ratings were C for overall and price because I really didn't expect to pay so much and N/A for quality because the materials are not here yet. I will update this when all is complete."

"Better Builders (BB) really solved our problem. I had a flat roof; I tried everything to keep that area dry. As a preventive measure, at one point, I substituted the gravel roof for a torched down flat roof. The preventive work was a disaster because what I feared most finally happened. I had a leak inside my sunroom. Apachee Roofing made a mistake in the sealing process and they had to come and do it again, but the damage was done. It went from prevention to repair mode in one day, one mild rain. Second time around, I decided not to make the same mistake, I joined Angie`s list. After a number of visits from other roofers, Better Builders came across as ready, knowledgeable, organized and with reasonable pricing. I had stratospheric estimates reaching $ 20,000, but BB fixed my flat roof giving it a slope, insulating it and  they also did additional work around my chimney by sealing it and by designing a new aluminum cap for it, all for $ 7,200 with the Angie`s list discount (I paid extra for the insulation materials and custom-built chimney cap). I cannot believe I can, actually, say:’ I am happy with my roof.  I did not have to worry about permits or inspections. The job site was clean and they even brought a portable toilet unit for the workers. All in all, a great experience. The only bad experience is Angie`s list itself. The system is annoying with undesired emails coming to you all the time.  I almost cancelled my account. They are really bad addressing specific issues because the system seems to be all automated. Do not ever save a review as draft, they will remind you every day until you die. They are NOT there yet; it is not like being a member of the Amazon.com family."

"Ted Alesch Contracting installed and built a covering for a kitchen fan.  This was done as part of a roof replacement but the fan was a last minute add-on.  Alesch Contracting was friendly and responded to my request promptly.  Upon installation of the vent covering, Ted painted the covering and it looks great.  I am very happy with all services I've received from Ted Alesch and I will use him again for my remodeling needs.  I highly recommend this company. <br />"

"It went well after all permits were pulled they did tear off on first day and replaced some bad wood here and there.After this they dried it in with a rubberized material,the next day they metal crew started completing the job in two days.They did a nice job and kept the mess cleaned up and hauled it off when they were done.Austin is a good person to deal with because anytime I needed to talk to him he would answer or text me back.Great company with better than competitive pricing"

"Don Hickman personally came out to our house, walked through what the steps will be for the processs from ordering metal sheeting, to how the crew will work through the steps to laying the roof.  Cleanup was discussed, as tarps will be layed over landscaping, nails will be picked up, magnetic roller will go through to ensure all nails are removed.  Signed the contract and provided a start date and supply order date."
