"Hired for a job in Historic St Augustine. Was very upfront on the location of the house. Scheduled for 8:30 am. At 8:55 am the day of the job, the plumber called and was like "Oh, you're way down in St Augustine." Umm, yeah. He didn't show up until 9:45 am. Needed him to fix an outside water spigot and he did the job. Then needed to address poor water pressure in a bathroom sink. Assumed it was a clogged aerator. He could not remove the aerator but he did check the water pressure and it was good. The next day I watched a youtube video and removed the aerator myself. There was another fine mesh one behind it. Could not remove that so I ended up replacing the faucet myself. Now it works fine. Would I recommend? Eh, probably not. If St Augustine is too far to drive to make an 8:30 appointment, tell me up-front. And no, did not get any discount for making me wait. In fact he was there a little over an hour and I got charged for 1.25 hours. "

"Like many older homes in St Augustine, our's developed a slab leak. Laundry room and garage flooded. We called Roto-Rooter right away and we had an estimate in less than 2 business days. Work started the very next day. The crew was well-trained, professional, and thorough. They re-piped our 2BR/2bath home in 2 days. They even arranged for a drywall professional to give us an estimate for repairing the (minimal) cuts they had to make to reach some of our plumbing. They met every deadline and kept every promise. Our neighbors who went with other companies were all let down in some way. And we even paid less than some of our friends for similar work. Highly recommend and would absolutely use again."

FAQs for faucets, fixtures and pipes repair or replace projects in Bryceville, FL

A minor, easily accessible leak can be resolved in about three hours, while a large or hard-to-reach leak may take up to three days. If flooring or cabinets need to be built back, the timeline can run several weeks to cover material deliveries and installation. Every job begins with detection, proceeds to repair, and concludes with restoring your foundation’s strength.

Slab leaks are most common in areas where the ground is in motion, such as those prone to earthquakes or highly expansive soils. In places like California, constant shifting puts stress on foundations and pipes. Stay ahead of trouble by monitoring your water bill, inspecting visible slab edges, and scheduling routine inspections to catch leaks early and maintain your home's safety.

Keep an eye out for damp spots, rising water bills, the sound of running water when taps are off, or staining and sagging along the foundation. Check exposed slab edges during routine walk-arounds and note any uptick in indoor humidity or pest traffic. The moment something looks off, call a pro—fast action protects your slab and wallet.

Most policies cover slab-leak repairs tied to a covered event, such as earthquakes, severe storms, or a fallen tree. They often won’t cover gradual issues, such as root intrusion or corrosion-related pinhole leaks. Every policy is different, so be sure to contact your carrier for the fine print before any problems arise.
