"Mr. Luis Rodriguez is a very professional, knowledgeable and very kind and courteous person. His pricing was very fair and he was very easy to contact; answered the phone the first time I called and every time thereafter. We were very pleased with his explanation of what needed replacing and with his availability to do the work. Only our filter needed replacing; he did not try to persuade us to replace the other equipment. We decided to have him replace the rest of the equipment since it was very old and not energy efficient. He also provided, not only the documents needed to qualify for the LADWP variable speed pump rebate, but many pictures showing the new pump settings and encouraged us to send them by certified mail to ensure that we receive the rebate. This showed us he cared; he went beyond that which was necessary. He was very attentive to answering all of my concerns with the pump settings with explanations that made sense ( my current pool service could not or would not answer). We were so happy with his service and knowledge that we asked if he would do our maintenance vs. current company but he politely responded that we are out of his service area. We highly recommend this very responsible and professional person."

Summary: Aqua Concepts rebuilt most of my pool (70-year-old, 20’x40’, 9’ deep maindrain, rectangular pool) from the rebar on up, replastered the pool, added new steps, pressure tested my maindrain, installed a split maindrain, and recommended a pool Startup party that I am very happy with. Time Frame: May-June 2021 (COVID time) Issues\Complaints: None My AquaConcepts contact: Chris was always available to answer my questions whether by text, phone call, or in-person visit. He did so in a timely manner. He also suggested alternate approaches and ideas that could be implemented during the rebuild. Very helpful. Background: Initially I planned only to replaster the pool. The surface looked OK except for a few “red spots” in the shallow end. Those spots turned out to be rusted rebar that had penetrated the plaster! This finding changed the entire nature of the job. AquaConcepts dug several “windows” into the plaster and it was evident that rust was widespread. To affect a reasonable rebuild price, they built a new rebar shell (say 6” above the old one), covered both rebar frames with shotcrete (at 3500 psi), bead blasted my existing tile (came out pretty good looking) and all this for half the price of a new pool (new pool of this size: 80-90k.) They also built the rebar shell for the new steps. (As I’m retired, I watched every step of the rebuild closely, asked lots of questions, and enjoyed the process)."

"I have been meaning to write a review of Estate Pools for over a year! We struggled for years with our pool which is a little complicated due to its size, shape and location. Even when we could manage to keep it clean and free of green algae, it never looked quite right or how we knew it looked when we purchased our home. When we found Andy, that changed after the first week. Andy actually understands the chemistry and was able to eliminate our black algae and cloudiness. He takes great care and pride in his work and spends time detailing the corners and ledges, rocks, etc. in a way no other pool service I know has. He is not cheap, but he is very reasonable and there is no doubt that we have saved thousands by finally having our pool properly maintained. I highly recommend!"

"Alex came on time, quickly set to work, called me in to discuss what he found when he peeled off the old epoxy--the original refinisher had not done a thorough job, which had needed the original tile regrouted prior to applying the epoxy, which caused the cracking. He had to add some additional cost to the original expense to fix the grout, which he apologized for. He still finished on time, and the shower looks amazing. He supplied with with an instruction sheet on care of the new finish, which was not provided with the original job. He did a great job, was very courteous, did a through cleanup after finishing. I was very glad to have had him recommended to me."

"I called Javi because I needed repairs done to my pool. He replaced the filter and heater because it stopped working and the circulation of the pool wasn’t great. Once it was replaced, everything worked great! Couldn’t be happier! The price was good and excellent communication was obtained throughout the whole experience. Overall he did an excellent job. "Tony of Nexxus Remodeling came up through an Angie's List search in September 2018. I was in need of a contractor to repair a botched remodel of our condo. The previous contractor left our condo in disarray, including: (1) unfinished /damaged walls in need of paint and drywall repair, (2) newly purchased doors were hung crooked, (3) front door needed to be replaced, (4) baseboard and trim was crooked or in need of repair in various places, etc. etc. As I explained the various issues to Tony, he was willing to work with me to repair the most egregious items, primarily: (1) rehung all interior doors, including pocket door; (2) replace baseboard and trim in various locations throughout; (3) drywall and painting in various locations throughout; (4) install new front door, jamb including exterior stucco repair; (5) rehang interior closet doors, and inset closet tracks in laundry room. This was not a traditional job and included repair work from a previous contractor, so was difficult to even find someone that would consider doing the work. In addition, we had a water leak damage interior wood trim around french doors while we were finishing the work with Tony. Tony was even willing to come back and repair and replace the trim at a reasonable fee (more of a handyman job) given the work we had already done with him. Overall great experience with Tony."
