"Sturdy Deck & Fence stripped off all the old deck boards, railings and stairs. They then reinforced all the joists and replaced the floor boards in a beautiful pattern and upgraded the railings to include bowed metal balusters and solar post cap lights. The project turned out even better than I imagined! Al and his crew did an extremely skilled and professional job and left so mess whatsoever. I would absolutely recommend them!"

"It is rare that I will take the time to review a business like this, but with the amazing experience we had, it seemed almost sinful not to write one. We were in dire need of a new deck as our old wooden one had begun to rot. It was not only awful to look at, but it was quickly becoming dangerous. I decided to bite the bullet and save myself future headaches by going with the Trex product. I researched several companies approved to sell and install this product, and I liked what I read about Warner's. However, not having many good experiences lately with contractors, I was wary. I scheduled an initial appointment with Chris. He was very accommodating right off the bat in getting the right day and time we needed. He could NOT have been any nicer, more professional or more forthcoming on what we could expect. I liked the product very much, and I liked Chris' attitude and dedication to being a perfectionist. I hired him the same day. Unfortunately for us, we found Warner's late in the spring, so we had to wait until beginning of August before our project could start. It was WORTH THE WAIT. The crew that did all the work - Reed and Joel, to be specific - were FANTASTIC! Not only were they very nice, very funny and generally good guys, they were also very, very good at what they do. They were efficient, they were always on time (actually earlier than I would've believed), and they kept at it even in the rain (as long as it wasn't a downpour or lightening). They even treated our dog as part of the family and asked if she could be out with them sometimes. It was adorable.. "Can Sunny come out and play?" LOVED IT! On top of all this - they were helpful, professional and wonderful when an unexpected problem came up due to how our previous deck had been installed. When they removed the old deck, they realized the part of the house it had been up against was never properly sealed, and there was mold and rot on the outside wall. I went into a panic, and they were great about calming me down. Not only that, but they were able to fix it for us as part of the job, so the delay was minimal. I will be forever grateful for this. If you have been burned by contractors who are incompetent, unreliable con men, go for a breath of fresh air and choose Warner's. Is it cheap? No. However, it is more than on par with the cost of this product. And you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. Faith in humanity restored."

"We used both Habitar Design and Stratagem Construction for two projects over the past year and would use again for future projects. Our first project was to design an office/ living space for our first floor den. MacKenzie was our designer and did a great job of presenting several options. In the end, we chose to build a customer office area. Our project manager Zane and his crew were very professional, timely and ensured we were satisfied with the final result. Because we were happy with our first project we decided to do a “face lift “of the kitchen (painting cabinet, new counters and lighting). The team worked around our schedule and completed the work while we were out of town, coming home to a new kitchen was great!"

"I received approximately 6 estimates from various contractor for badly needed repairs to the exterior of our house. This work involved masonry restoration as well as extensive trim work. The trim is not only decorative but functional on my Tudor style home as it actually serves as a protective barrier over face brick which was constructed with channels cut out to accommodate the cedar trim. Odd but that's how it was built. This presented challenges as many contractors didn't want to deal with both masonry and carpentry work. I ended up hiring an excellent contractor to do the masonry work and subsequently hired Todor from Alenia Exteriors to do the necessary carpentry repairs. Todor had many excellent ideas and was genuinely interested in lasting repairs as well as making everything look great. We ended up choosing cedar trim and cedar lap siding which was painted on both the front and back sides and the end grain. This is a very important step to ensure this material is adequately protected from the elements. Many contractors didn't want to bother with this step or insisted it wasn't that important. The bottom line is other contractors didn't want to spend time to properly prepare material. Todor's schedule was booked up and it took awhile to actually begin the process - this was communicated to me upfront but I was willing to wait for his schedule to open up in order to contract him for this project. Todor performs the work himself - I like the idea of having the same person provide the estimate and also do the actual work. Todor's crew is also equally hard working and skilled. I found Todor to be easy going and honest throughout the entire process - in the end, everything looks great and is done properly at an extremely fair price.  I will definitely hire Todor and his team do do future exterior work. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"I cannot recommend Bigane Construction too highly!!  This was a difficult project, which spanned a period of three months--including the last month, during most of which my wife and I were living in the unit while construction was continuing.  The quality of the workmanship was far beyond our highest expectations.  The principal worker on the job, Lukasz, is a true artisan as well as a wonderful individual.  He was unfailingly helpful, was neat as could be, had great insights as to how best to do the work, and communicated with us constantly with regard to questions which would arise.  He also worked very closely with our kitchen and bathroom planner, to ensure that the actual work not only conformed to the drawings but to the planner's design vision as well.  Lukasz is a perfectionist, who insists on everything being absolutely correct.  He knows the kitchen and bath remodeling business inside and out.  The other workmen on the job which Bigane provided (including brick masons, plumbers, glass installers and painters) were equally professional.    Bill Bigane himself was always available when needed.  I feel that the overall fee was not excessive in the light of the work performed.  The resulting effort is a showpiece, of which we are extremely proud.  I hope to never again have to live through a remodeling--but if I did, Bigane would be the first people I would call."

"We had a 750 sq foot elevated deck built by Joel and the building team led by Matt. Joel was fantastic to work with from his first visit, design proposal and quote. The building team led by Matt did extremely high quality work and were great to design with as the project progressed. They were very neat and hard working. We were delighted with the overall experience, result and value for money. We would definitely work with them again and highly recommend them."

FAQs for sunroom or patio enclosure building service projects in Burbank, IL

A sunroom is a fully enclosed space with walls of windows or glass. It allows you to enjoy the outdoors from the comfort of the indoors, protected from bugs and weather. It functions as an additional room in your home. A covered patio extends your home's roof over an outdoor area, providing shade and shelter while remaining open to the fresh air. It's a great way to enjoy outdoor living while being protected from sun and rain.

Adding screens to your porch is the most budget-friendly way to enclose it. Screening keeps out insects and debris while letting you enjoy the breeze and outdoor ambiance. It's less expensive than installing full walls or glass enclosures and doesn't usually require permits, making it an efficient way to upgrade your porch.

If you're transforming your porch into a fully enclosed living space like a sunroom, you'll likely need a sturdy foundation, such as a reinforced concrete slab, to support the structure. For a simple screened-in porch, you might be able to use the existing floor and support posts without additional foundation work. It's best to consult a professional to determine what's needed for your project.

An enclosed porch can be considered a living space if it's fully enclosed with solid walls and windows, has a proper roof, and includes heating and cooling systems. It should also have direct access from inside your home. When these criteria are met, the space becomes an extension of your home's livable area.
