"Called for an estimate on a commercial kitchen needing power to a new steamer. In my initial conversation with them, they asked if I had additional vendors bidding on the work and when I told them I did they said that they were not interested because, they said, they do quality work and don’t usually have the lowest price. I told them that we also cared about the quality of work and encouraged them to come out and give an estimate. They came out and got all the details for our project on a Friday. I called several time the following week seeking to find out when we might see an estimate (I had a kitchen manager who wanted his steamer back up) and each time was told someone would call me back: no one ever did. Over 10 days past their initial visit, for a relatively simple job, I still had no call back, no estimate, no estimate of when I might see an estimate. This time when I called, the secretary once again told me that someone would call me back, and I told her that at this point I was trying to decide whether I would ever see an estimate or if I should give up on it and just start writing my review of their company now – admittedly, I was over it at this point. Now I finally do get a call back from the owner, Shayne I think, and he is furious that I said I might give him a bad review and threatening me – asking for my supervisors number so he can, I assume, try to somehow discredit me. Very unprofessional, really childish, behavior from the owner. At the end of all this, I still have a kitchen with a steamer down, I have to go and find another of my 3 required bids, and Quantum Electric was a huge waste of my time. I have no comment on the quality of their work as I never was able to get that far with them; however, my rating of their front office in terms of meeting expectations, timeline and professionalism is an F. Also, beware when a vendor loses interest once there are competing estimates: it usually means they are over-priced. There are always fairly priced vendors who also offer quality work. Don’t waste your time on this company."
