"We hired Millennium Specialties to paint the exterior of our house and shed. They repaired and replaced rotted wood, caulked places that had never been caulked before (hence the wood rot), cleaned, primed and painted our house, and it looks beautiful! Their work crew was a pleasure to work with, friendly, polite and responsive to our concerns. They are highly skilled and their work shows it. Our job took a little longer than expected due to unforeseen issues - we needed to replace a gutter. They happily came back after the replacement to paint the gutter. Dave's bid was detailed and the price was competitive with other highly rated companies. Our house ended up requiring more paint than expected and Dave absorbed that cost. Dave Jackson and John Shields who managed our project, were easy to contact, always returned our calls promptly, and resolved concerns in a timely manner. I can't say enough good things about this company. They really do stellar work"

"I hired Roger Teske to install kitchen cabinets. I had gathered used cabinetry as I was on a very tight budget. Roger is very punctual. He met with me on site to discuss the project. He asked questions, took notes, measured the kitchen and examined the cabinets. Within a day or so, he had an estimate for me. His fee was very competitive and his workmanship is excellent. He paid careful attention to details and has an eye for aesthetics. This job took two and a half days to complete. There were no surprises and no overruns. During the install I had a change of heart?I decided to ditch two upper cabinets and replace them with open shelving., When I approached Roger about the change, he was so very accommodating. He adapted the shelving to the site and it looks terrific. He is a master wood crafter with extraordinary skills. Roger is personable, kind, professional and a joy to work with. I give Roger my highest recommendation. Five stars are not enough to describe his work."

Great!  Matt was very polite and did an excellent job.  We had hired another cabinet installer through Lowes to install our cupboards and the crown molding.  The Lowes carpenter was unable to finish this section and said it couldn't be done.  I checked around and found Matt who, after he looked at some pictures of the problem areas, said he could do it.  He came out, reviewed the work and then sat about measuring and cutting so that the crown molding would fit.  This was a very special situation he had to fit 3 pieces into the of the two connection walls in order to make this work.  There were some simple angle cuts and a lot of cutting with a coping saw (manual cutting for angles a saw can't do!). In the end the work looed great and was just what the wife ordered! She is now happy with her new kitchen and we are both VERY Happy with the work that Matt did here.

If you ever need someone to do any of the work that Matt does, I would highly recommend him.  If he says he can do, it can be done and done right!  And, for the specialized skills Matt has, he could have charged us a lot more than he did given what needed to be done to get our job completed!

"This was an excellent experience. I was especially impressed by 1) the high quality of the materials and installation, 2) the fact that everything was done exactly on the timeline we were given, all in 3 weeks total, and 3) the exceptional price.
The cabinets are beautiful. The floor is beautiful. The counters are beautiful. We love our new kitchen and bathroom!!!
Our house is 102 years old and has lots of funky corners and uneven areas, and Avenues was great at making it work. The cupboards and counters in the kitchen had to be custom-built around an old chimney, and they did an excellent job. There is a step-down from the kitchen to the back hallway, and the guy from Avenues did a great job of smoothing over this transition so that it is even better than before. The crown molding on the cabinets helps conceal the fact that our floors and ceiling are a little uneven.
When we met with Steve, he said that the demo would be July 9, the cabinets July 10, the floors July 12, and the counters July 24. These installations happened EXACTLY on the days he promised. This meant that we were able to finish our entire remodel in less than a month.
I also appreciated that I never felt Steve was trying to "upsell" us on anything. He understood our budget and the type of kitchen remodel we were doing (modest budget in a funky old house). He was able to make good recommendations, for example telling us about which quartz counters would be most economical.
It's important to know that Avenues was not acting as a general contractor for our remodel. We coordinated all of the other pieces beyond the cabinets, floors, and counters. Angie's List was a great help in finding someone to move the gas stove, finding a plumber, and finding an electrician. If you are willing to run your own remodel, though, I highly recommend the quality and price of Avenues for cabinets, counters, and/or flooring.

"We had the company build a custom entertainment center, we liked it so much we had them remodel our kitchen to match. We had our kitchen Done not to long ago but we loved the look of the work so much we had to do it in our kitchen. We got three bids and there price was in the middle. They told us the job would take three weeks and it took a little over two! They explained the schedule with us at the contract signing and stuck to it. There was some one at our house every day,and they worked at least 8 hours a day. They were very clean. They built custom cabinets, installed a granite counter with undermount sink, and put a stone floor in. Our kitchen looks very custom! We love it and would recommend them to anyone!

"One of the best parts about working with Mr. Tapia is his responsiveness. He always texted or called me back. I never had to wait long to get answers to my questions, or reassurance that things were going well. (Remodeling can be a bit stressful, Marco made this much less stressful). He also is very honest about how busy he is and when he can realistically get to the job. When I had to get flooring done by a certain date, he ended up doing it himself to make sure it got done on time. (It has been a crazy summer for remodeling in portland this year with a scarcity of workers). The workers that Mr. Tapia hired to work on my house projects were amazing professionals! Having remodeled a few houses before, I have a pretty good idea of what quality workmanship looks like, and Marco's crew does excellent work! All of the walls in my house are perfect: clean, perfectly textured, smooth and beautiful. Mr. Tapia knows good quality and likes to make sure that all the details of the job are done and done well. The gentlemen that made the kitchen cabinetry did a beautiful job, with a gorgeous butcher block island and each cabinet detail finished and perfect. I highly recommend hiring Mr. Tapia for your next house project!"

FAQs for cabinets repair projects in Camas, WA

The timeframe for kitchen cabinet removal varies significantly based on quantity and installation complexity. Professional contractors typically complete standard kitchens within 4 to 8 hours, though complicated configurations involving plumbing or electrical components may extend to 1 to 2 days. Homeowners tackling this as a DIY project should allocate substantially more time—often 1 to 3 full days—as careful extraction requires methodical work to prevent property damage.

Kitchen cabinets can indeed be salvaged for reuse when removed carefully. Construction material significantly impacts success rates—hardwood cabinets generally survive extraction better than composite materials, which tend to chip or break. For optimal preservation, document the original layout, remove doors and hardware first, then methodically detach units from walls and adjacent cabinets. Professional removal significantly increases the likelihood of successful cabinet preservation.

Disposal options for kitchen cabinets depend largely on their condition and your local waste management regulations. Cabinets in reasonable condition might find new homes through donation centers or online marketplaces. For damaged units, professional waste removal services offer convenience, while dumpster rentals provide flexibility for larger projects. Some municipalities offer special collection services for bulky items, though advance scheduling is typically required.

Wall damage during cabinet removal represents a legitimate concern for many homeowners. The risk varies based on installation methods—cabinets attached directly to drywall without backing supports pose greater challenges than properly mounted units. Professional removal minimizes damage through specialized techniques and appropriate tools. Even with careful extraction, expect some minor wall repairs. Older installations and homes with plaster walls require particularly delicate handling to prevent significant damage.
