"Installer Eric showed up on time.  Took the time to explain how the system worked and what we could expect.  Consulted with us on the placement of the system and manner of installation. Completed installation in about two hours.  Provided a complete explanation of the systems controls and warranty,  when to add salt, when to flush out salt tank, what to do after a power outage and when system service would be needed again.  Eric did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the results.  Water no longer smells and the water from the tap tastes fine.

"I can always depend on ACES Drain to take care of any plumbing problems. It turned out that my garbage disposal had a crack in it and needed to be replaced. Brian had a replacement disposal in his truck and installed a new one. I highly recommend ACE Drain plumbing service. If you call them, you won't be disappointed."

"They were the best! Quick and efficient. They were able to locate three leaks in the pool and repaired them on the spot. It has been several weeks now and I only have the normal evaporation. Prior to the fix, I was losing about 5 inches in three days. I would recommend them to anyone."

"After the recent purchase of our new home, there was no shortage of repairs and improvements that needed to be done. The first project was to have carpet removed from our lanai and have ceramic tile installed. Our search for for the best tile installer began and ended with George. He had a great reputation and excellent reviews, so we knew he was our guy. He gave us an estimate in advance, showed up every day on time, worked diligently throughout the day, and cleaned up at the end of the day. The project was completed on time, and because we made change in the size of our tile after his initial estimate, he actually charged us less at the end thank his original quote--the mark of an honest man! Our lanai looks beautiful thanks to George's master craftsmanship. But beyond our impressions of his work, virtually every other person who has come to our house (for plumbing, electrical, roof, etc.) has commented on how nice the tile looks, and several asked for George's contact info because they want to use him on their own homes. We cannot recommend George highly enough!"

"Mike from Pioneer Plumbing did an excellent job of replacing our leaky kitchen faucet.  He even tried his best to fix the old one first, to try and save us some money.
He was very professional and punctual.  I will definitely recommend doing business with Pioneer Plumbing.

"Upon arrival and assessing the job to be done, John and his very excellent co-worker (whose name I should remember, but I apologize that I can not recall) got the job done very quickly, and completely cleaned up the work area inside and outside our house. There was no trace that work had been done at all, except for the perfectly balanced and centered new front door. Just beautiful work!   We were very pleased with the quality of communication, the professional demeanor, and the speed of the work, but most importantly, we were completely impressed by the perfection of the finished product.
We had asked John to give us a quote for painting the vaulted ceiling and walls of our living room, which he very kindly did, but he also told us that we may be able to find a lower bid from a provider closer to Gainesville, as John is based in Ocala. Now, how honest is that? Amazing! My husband and I are still in negotiation with one another about wall color, but when I convince Hubbie that a neutral color would be more livable long term than a bolder color  would be, we may call John even if it costs us a little more, because we have no doubt the paint job would be perfectly done, just like our door.
We can not speak highly enough of the quality of the job that was done, the price we were charged, or the gentlemen that did the work for us.  True craftsmen are hard to find nowadays, but you will find them at John Petralito Handyman Services.

"Frank was completing other jobs when we first called but was able to fit us in a month later.  He then came out for a visit to understand the job and give us a quote.  That day, he built the drawers on-site and installed the lights.  He worked professionally and completed the job successfully.  We would hire him again."

FAQs for sump pump or interior foundation drains installation projects in Candler, FL

Most residential pumps draw approximately 1,300 to 2,900 watts when they first start, then settle at roughly 800 to 1,050 watts during normal operation. The exact number depends on the motor’s horsepower and how often the float switch tells the pump to run. Even at the high end, the electricity cost is minor compared with the expense of cleaning up a flooded basement.

Grab a ruler and an empty 18‑inch‑wide pit. During a steady rain, time how much the water rises in one minute. Multiply that depth (in inches) by 60 to calculate gallons per hour, then add 50% for safety. If the result tops 2,100 gallons per hour—about 35 gallons a minute—you’ll need a 3/4‑horsepower unit. Anything lower, and a 1/3- or 1/2-horsepower pump should do the trick.

Loud rattling, constant cycling, or shuddering vibrations are the pump’s way of telling you it’s on its last legs. Musty smells, higher electric bills, and visible rust are other red flags. If the unit is 10 years old or older and exhibits any of these symptoms, replace it before the next heavy rain turns your basement into a wading pool.

You don’t have to hire a licensed plumber, but you should still bring in someone who installs sump pumps for a living—whether that’s a plumber, basement‑waterproofing specialist, or experienced handyman. They know the local codes, can wire the pump safely, and will test the system before they leave. Skipping professional help might void the warranty and could leave you with a pump that fails when you need it most.

Not every basement needs a pump, but if your home sits in a floodplain, has a high water table, or has ever taken on water during a storm, a sump pump is inexpensive insurance. For basements that only struggle with condensation or the occasional damp spot, sealing cracks and improving drainage may be all that is needed.
