"Chris with Friesen Family Renovations, LLC was very professional and thorough in the work he has completed. He installed a new screen door, replaced my tub stem and faucet, repaired my subfloor in the kitchen and installed brand new LVP flooring to replace old and water damaged flooring. He also mounted a television for me, and did some drywall repairs as well. I would recommend this business to anyone looking for quality and dependable work!"

"I needed a storm door for the front of my house and thought it would be a pretty easy process to install - so I planned on just going to Home Depot and having them do it...after they measured they found it was 'too technical' of an install for their skill level. I got in touch with Integrity and they did a great job at giving me an explanation of why the install would be difficult and what they could do. Because of some of the decorative molding around the front door, there would need to be a little bit of customization for the door itself. The owner worked with me each step of the way and set up the measurements, ordered the custom door and install. Jim, who came to do the install, was very nice and was done in about 2 hours - even though it was really cold/snowing outside. From first contact to install was only about 4 weeks which is exactly what the owner said it would be. I appreciate Integrity for their help in the door install and will look to them for future door/window needs."

"They came out to house and let me know they could manufacture and provide install guidance for a piece of glass for a skylight but that they could not install it themselves. They also said they would provide a quote for a fixed glass option to replace a sliding glass window. I never got the quote. Weeks later after finding someone who could install the glass, when I called them about details for manufacturing the glass for the skylight, for some reason the person I was talking with over the phone got very stern, to the point of sounding angry. I got some great advice from one of the representatives of this company, but I would not recommend this company based on the lack of response on the quote and the lack of professionalism."

"Shawn and his men are true professionals. From our first meeting with Shawn until the job was done it was a positive experience. The job was completed in a timely manner and within budget. All materials were here as needed so there was no pause in the job while someone had to go get something. Shawn was on top of it all the way. Both Shawn and Rocco (our crew man) were very responsive. Always answered the phone or called back. Showed up on time every day. Even when I made a last minute change, Shawn never missed a beat. I decided I wanted wainscoting when the job was almost done and he never missed a beat. Next day he delivered wainscoting. The attention to detail was wonderful and they never left the house without cleaning up each day. I would highly recommend Shawn Marquard to a friend, and will call him for any needs in the future."

FAQs for door or window screens install or repair projects in Canton, OH

Most off-the-shelf screens come in fixed sizes, ranging from 18 inches by 20 inches to 36 inches by 74 inches, which fit the vast majority of residential windows. If your opening falls outside that range or has a unique shape, you’ll need a custom screen built to the exact measurements. Going custom ensures a secure fit, a solid barrier against bugs, and a clean, finished look.

The decision to repair or replace your screen depends on the extent of the damage. Small holes or tears in otherwise solid mesh can be patched, and a sturdy frame usually doesn’t need to go anywhere. However, once the frame is bent or the mesh is brittle and fraying in several spots, replacement becomes a more sensible option—and often proves to be less costly in the long run. Take a close look at both parts before making a decision.

To rescreen a window, start by prying out the old spline, then lift the torn mesh from the frame. Lay the new screen over the frame, allowing about an inch of excess on all sides, and hold it in place while pressing fresh spline into the groove with a roller. Check that the mesh is taut—many pros rest a small brick on it while they work—then trim the overhang with a utility knife.

Most window screens last for 10 to 12 years. Time, sun, and weather gradually make the mesh brittle, so you’ll start to see sagging, rips, or thinning spots that let bugs get through. Check the screens each season; if the mesh crumbles or the frame warps, it’s time to replace them to keep air flowing and pests outside.

Most pros can swap out a screen in 10 minutes to an hour. A quick pop‑in replacement goes fastest, while fitting new mesh into an existing frame or working on a hard‑to‑reach upper window adds time. Either way, plan for at least a few extra minutes per screen so the installer can verify the fit and ensure the spline is seated correctly.
